And to post pictures of the map in the description. List things like what these legendary heroes are, why they are fighting, perhaps why we should play this map? those kinds of things are good to have in a description.

no because their are tons of terrible maps on the hive workshop, and you can usually tell the likelihood of a map being bad by its description or lack of.

however this isnt a 100% formula for avoiding bad maps. its just how the case is in general. so if the map maker here can do the description and make it nice, its that much more likely that this map is worth my time downloading and hosting.
