I was wondering what ability the "shockwave" ability is based on? I want to order a unit to shockwave but i do not know which ability it is based of.

I thought why not put together a thread that states all abilities and what they are based of...so to begin with, what is the shockwave abilility based off?

Uh... what? Shockwave is a standard WC3 ability. It's not based on anything. Just order your unit to cast shockwave. :vw_wtf:

In WC3, all standard abilities that come with Warcraft 3 and that are editable in the object editor are uniques. Any custom abilities have to be based off them however.

This illogical system was fortunatly dropped for Starcraft II. In SC2 all abilities are extensions and few base ability definitions. The result is much more flexibility and more efficent loading of data.

Unit - Issue Order Targeting a Point - Orc Tauren Chieftain - Shockwave.

Is what you're looking for.

Shockwave ability it based on... Shockwave ability (lol)
Shockwave is a default pre-made spell by Blizzard, it is default
Hence, you will not need for further research, just go to Trigger Editor and do what Matt said
