so i wonder if giving auras an area of effect really big like 99999 can cause any problems like lag or anything, keep also in mind a lot of units will be having them, thx

Yes it will cause a lag if you set the area to global if there are huge outnumbered units in your map because they're all having buff effects

how many units are too much? like no lag with 300 but yes lag with 600 (just to give an example)

Lags will occur if you have greater than 600 ally in the map and if the buff is highly particle. but it will not cause a lag if the buff is just normal like the buff of Brilliance aura or devotion aura.

Why lag?? I tested it in the map with brilliance aura global.
Since even in DotA ( the global aura of Crystal Maiden ( Brilliance Aura ) )

Nope, it wouldn't unless you have insanely high particle buff effect for the aura then yes it would lag. But with the normal aura? I don't think it would cause any lag. Test it and find out.
no effects btw

Forgot to add if all those 50-100 units are in the same camera view it will indeed lag.

You need to know:
a.) How many caster creeps are present.
b.) How many heroes are present.

If you ask me, it's around 10. Or less.
