AoS SideQuest Ideas

Well, this is for my map here.

I'm looking for ideas for sidequests. Or maybe could add to the main quest objectives too.

These are larger 'barren' type areas. I'm looking for something to fill these up.
Maybe a main quest objective of some sort.. a few buildings, etc.

Ok, here's the idea:

Once (or more than once) per game, questgivers (using Proudmore's model) will appear in factions' bases and warn of coming of ghost ship. Those who take the quest will be given deployable cannon. They'll have to go to that lane near water, stop fighting (perhaps), deploy cannons and shoot at the ship, which will advance very slowly. When the ship reaches the shore (cannon duration doesn't allow to destroy it, even if all players shoot their cannons. the ship is immune to all other damage), a horde of undead, proportional in number, to remaining health of the ship, will disembark and attack the defenders. The top three players, that took the quest and killed most undead will be given cool items.
OFC, if your side is losing on that lane, you may want to leave your enemis totheir own devices, hoping that he won't be able to deal with the undead, but you'll lose items.
 
Hunt:
~The player must find and kill a rat which is coveting a powerful artifact (a ring). The artifact makes it immune to all spell damage, and being a rat, it has 99% evasion. It should be a two hit kill (for a max level hero). It is viewed as nuetral, so spawns won't attack it. After killing the rat, the hero gets a ring granting spell immunity.
