Anybody here knows what e-prescribing is?

Anybody here knows what e-prescribing is? does it mean that you do not have to physically go to the doctor's office and receive the written prescription and all you have to do is call them and ask for a refill? I heard that not all meds can be prescribed electronically, what medications can not be prescribed using an E-prescription system and still must be hand-written by the doctor?

E-prescribing is a technology framework that allows physicians and other medical practitioners to write and send prescriptions to a participating pharmacy electronically instead of using handwritten or faxed notes or calling in prescriptions. It is beneficial to the patients especially for patients who have chronic diseases.
