To make it blink you have to add an Visibility track to your mesh.
To make it flash in different colors you have to add Self Illumination Color to your mesh.
You can find all that in Dope sheet and Material Editor in 3Ds max 5. heheh

i ment blink as in eyes blink.. not model disapear. thx for the help though.. ill look into that, had to format pc.. be a little before im up and running again.
well models blinking, are often just done by a flat plane that is moved in front of the eye. however it is possible to use texture animations to move the texture for the eyes to the spot on the texture the eyelids are..
or use material manager to swap between textures
