    A Time for a Hero ORPG GOLD VERSION



    What's ATfaH?


    ATfaH (That stands for A Time for a Hero) was my very first Serious project, started for about a Year ago. I used a Template.
    I was a noob those days (We all were) so my codes were leaking, inefficient, but still working. I worked really hard for that...

    Anyways, the project was released on the very first day of 2015. There were some critical and even some Tooltip issues, and they were fixed.
    Later, I added another Boss-fight and some small Upgrades. (V.2)
    Nowdays, I was working on AI and Arena for it until I realized:
    "My map even isn't good from my own point of view... The terrain, Spells, Systems... I need to change it... the Map cannot be changed, but can be Re-made!"

    So, Now I have started the project today :D

    Story

    2079 Years ago, due to reasons, people of Sherak'peria, the world we currently live on, consisting of Earth, Billions of galaxies and stars created by "Universals", Guardians chosen by God to protect the order, had to leave earth. In fact, not only earth, but the Dimension we currently live in...
    At first, one of the original spellcasters of the World, hermits now so called as the "Shamans" had to leave due to the attack of "Wyzogs", another great faction of Spellcasters. Then, "mages" had to do so, Due to the attack of "God of Chaos", an evil entity. then Wyzogs too, to Track down their mage allies. They all opened a portal, leading into a dark and Mysterious world, home of demons, created by Demon-lord "Hukal", to run from the Apocalypse he own had created. After a Purifying ritual casted by Grand magister "Kel'thod", most part of the New dimension was purified. Portals were created to reach the core of the new planet, leading into the space, creating an artificial sun.

    After dozens of Attacks, The Human dwellers managed to defeat Hukal and Exile demons to a small part of the planet.

    As with the spellcasters, there were also Normal humans, with no magical capabilities. The mage Counterpart gave them the southern part of the land, So called as Aylania. However, the land wasn't purified correctly there.

    Dark creatures such as Vampires and Werewolves dwelled there... Longing for food...

    The human soceity was shattered after the attack of "Revenant of Darkness", by destroying the capital city "Imsallen".

    With Imsallen burned, people were divided into two different groups:
    The castle Inhabitants, and the other being Vigilantes.

    Now, heroes are requested from the northern lands, to vanquish the dark after 37 years of division... to Defeat the Revenant of Darkness...

    Now, it is A Time, for a Hero...


    To-do list:


    Make an alternate Inventory. [50%]
    Make the Heroes, with fully triggered spells [75%]
    Finish the Story [1500% :D]
    Import an alliance system [100%]
    Create items some with custom abilities[5%]
    Implement all utilities and systems from the old Version [20%]
    Create a great terrain [30%]
    Make the Creeps smarter [50%]
    Implement units and Imported stuff [3%]
    Create a map development thread [100%]
    Back-up the files [50%]
    Give credits [0%]
    Create a Save-load system [0%]
    Difficulty system [100%]
    Implement AI [0%]
    Implement Arena [0%]
    Create a lot of quests [0%]
    Create a hero selection system [100%]

    Good Luck on your remake, of a previous project

    Look forward to seeing what you can do with it now considering you're terraining it yourself (and increased knowledge with the editor) so it will be more flexible for you this time :)

    I like the to do list plan.. Ill use it my development thread if u dont mind. :D

    EDit : I noticed there is a space missing on the title. (Just press space bar)

    Thank you, Just finished the hero selection! I'm gonna use a demo and test it, however it looks right.

    EDIT: It is fully functional.

    I just that in the hero exp bar, There is a "|" after the name that I dont think should be there.

    It is fixed, yes, I noticed it when I was observing my screenshots :D

    Hey Hey Hey!
    I just finished a Difficulty system, and the whole Warrior! I also (Re-)created the Forest, and now finally there are some enemies as well as a Future Mini-boss!
    For picking a hero, you still need "Iseedeadpeople"... Gonna find a solution for that in future... (Don't tell me I'm a n00b, I already used Visibility modifiers but they didn't work)

    Why do you have the option to cancel your selection in the hero selection menu?
    If the user wants a different hero, they should just be able to click on that hero.

    The choice is made permanent when the user clicks on the "choose" button.

    Progress looking good so far.

    This clears up some memory, Also, I used it so Noobs who play it Don't get stress when they select the wrong Icon.

    There will be a hint stating this when I make the terrain completely.

    I suggest to give the player the option that he can change his hero just 2 times per game.

    It looks nice but put some stones and rocks at the dead end instead of that mushrooms

    The story is extremely confusing. When I read it I thought this was going to be a sci-fi RPG (which had me hyped; we need more good sci-fi RPGs) ... but then it turned out to be fantasy.

    The whole story is meant to feel realistic, it's the normal world, only with Magic :D

    The mushroom is something used in the old version, So I'll keep it, but I'll add stones, actually I was thinking about that too :D

    It's still confusing as hell, with so many invented names and faction.

    Yeah, It's even more complicated :D
    It's somehow like Warcraft lore, a li'l more realistic :D
    Anyways, some Mini-Boss-drops will contain books about the History. If the whole lore wants to be stated, that would be +100 books :D

    Also, I was thinking about making a Thread in Screenwriting and Storyboard forum, and State the lore chapter-by-chapter. Just too lazy...
