It is possible. And I think i've figured it out too. You change the desired hero spell to a unit ability, then add it to the spellbook, and then change it back to a hero spell.

I have to leave, so i dont have time to test it out fully, but i'll post results here later.

Elven-God, I've read that tutorial and 2 others like it. They do not explain anything about how to put regular hero abilities in the Data - Spell List field.

x) Equal, how unspecific CAN you be? What is this "it" you speak of?

Changing the spell from hero to unit ability, adding it to spellbook, and then changing it back to a hero ability seems to work. Figured it out on my own. You would think tutorial writers would explain things a little more in depth? o.0

Uh, thanks anyways though?

. . .

are you tring to make it so that you can level up abilities in a spell book?
or do you just want to have them as hero abilities?

If you want leveld abilites make unit abilities with levels and either make upgrades for them or make a second ability called abilityname learn which when cast subtracts one from available stat points if available stat point => 1 and sets the level of ability abilityname to abilityname + 1.

Hope that this helps. If you encounter any more problems PM me.

"IT" was meant the/a spell
as Just_Spectating said, there is no real difference between Hero and non-Hero ability.

to solve the "i can learn somthing i didnt know befor" problem:
get a normal unit ability and make it have its levels + 1.
now u turn the 1 level of it to have no effect, be un payable(to high mana cost)
cd to 0... etc
now, the other levels just as u need it.
if your "hero" now opens the book he looks to this ability without "learning" it(leveling it up) he will only see a blue icon with tons of cost.

But leveling up, opening a Dialog and chenging the level of this ability will help
him. He once again opens the book, and is so fuc"ing much Happy because
he learned the ability and its not Blue anymore, he can use it.

HOPE!!!! this helpes

greets equal
