I don't understand something, people is not supposed to post anything about map protection / map unprotection but for some reason this site has a huge Map protection begging thing when you click on FAQ ?
Darky put everything everyone "would" discuss about map protection (exception for if they are right or wrong, which is forbidden to discuss here for obvious motives) in the FAQ, so there is no necessitie of breaking this rule
the point is that darky put that there so nobody would have the need to discuss it and would ge tthe idea that you shouldnt ask how to unprotect maps here.
It is true that it is mostly missinformation about the topic, the concept that things like map protection / unprotection exist is pretty arcaic actually.
The FAQ was made by Darky to try to make people stop using "map protection" and to explain why his script flames maps that have deleted or 0 kb wtg files. It is untrue he made it to stop discussions; The rule about the discussions was added later and not by Darky.
Wrong. He was locking threads for map protection discussions before I even became a map mod. (oh....back in the day when he actually visited his own site)

It is discussing about the rule about discussing map protection.
He is not saying things like 'How do I protect my map?' nor 'How do I unprotect my map?' he is just pointing out a contradiction between the site's rules and its own content
