These are the best terraining by me. I sorted it, so the best are at the bottom and worst at the top. The pictures are taken from my album "My first terraining".

You've still got alot to learn.

Most of your terrains have the same bird's-eye view angle, try to experiment with different angles to create some nice effects.

The edge of the map is showing up in the first pic. To avoid this, try to make screens from a corner in the map. Also, don't have stuff like purple boxes and selection circles showing up on screens. To avoid this, make sure you deselected everything before making the screen and also press 'V' to make the purple boxes disappear.

Also, try to work more on tile variation. Having only one or two tiles won't do your terrains much justice.

Another important aspect of a terrain is atmosphere. Try to have colors and effects match up and look pretty. Learn to add skies and use fog.

---

All in all, I advice you to look at other people's terrains, study tutorials and practice alot.

Have fun terraining ;)

I don't know if it's good or bad that it has plain warcraftish look, but...

I'd recommend you started learning exotic effects and objects. You don't always have to import in order to create an exotic element, although it certainly
makes it easier sometimes. You can make your terrains really personal if you try to go down that road and express something you partially decide ahead.
For example, you could start by experimenting with doodad scales, tinting color (primarilly to accompany the desired light setting), Map Options->fog, doodad
(floating) height, and weather effects if they're interesting.
