I'm from WC3campaigns.net, and wish to expand into other WC3 modding communities. Currently, I have plenty of GUI experience, some JASS, and hopefully alot of creativity. I hope to learn from this community and viceversa. Currently I am in the beta phase of my solo project and hope to receive help from this community to make a fantastic game.

Seeing as you seem to be hostile towards The Hive Workshop over at Wc3campaigns, I don't really get why you would want to expand into this community?

Yes, I did make a post that could very easily be viewed as a malicious attack on the hive. "In my visits to the hive, it's been about 80-90% repetitive/useless spells/models." Was the only part of my post directed towards the Hive specifically, the rest of the negativity was directed at no community in particular.

I do have preconceived notions of the Hive simply from the opinion of the WC3campaigners. However, I felt it would be much more prudent of me to actually spend some time in the community and see for myself. Hence, I hope to "learn from the community"

Searching the site using the above link always helps, you can learn a lot that way: just reading and learning is usually the best place to start, especially if one feels overwhelmed.

Likewise, the tutorials can really teach ALL of us a thing or two.

The chat room is cool: lots of people can answer questions there.

• A few other tips that might help too:
  • Always search first! Did I already mention THAT?
  • When creating a new thread, make the title VERY specific: so the site's search engine (and we users) can easily understand just what the thread contains.
  • Post your new threads in the proper forum: read the descriptions of each one so that you know what to post there.
  • If all else fails, just send me a private message! I'll try to do whatever I can to help.
