HI.

I have problem, i dont actually know how to properly use it with existing models, just to edit animation etc.

When i use some importer, everything is so complex :/ Animations (most important) are playing but without actually playing model, just some flying dots...

Any1 know tutorial for editing existing models, or can help me in any way?
I used Mdlvis and i handle preety good with it so im not noobish :p

Ah I remember long time ago I used to use it. So before importing you need to choose what do you want to import. I do not remember the names . However, there should be something called "static" and some other choices. So if you choose static you will get only the mesh. Therefore, in your case you should choose another option. The name should be related to animations. By the way, it also depends on your importer. There are few which I know and one of them is for all also for importing animations and other are just for meshes.

oh forgot... its 3DS max 5.0 Commercial

rober artua: could you sugest some importer? and provide link if you can because most i heard about have dead links

Well here are importers/exporters which I used long time ago. They are working btu I think you need to find a good tutorial to learn how to use them. There were some on Warcraft Campaign web site or something like this . Don't remember the exact name, sry :(

But the process was like this:
U import model with animations. Then u just edit them and then u export the edited anim as text file. The all you have to do is just copy paste the exported text to the model's text info. Well something close to this :) Anyway, it is always better to make anims from scratch :)

Ah just forgot, here is the link: http://files.filefront.com/IMPORTERSrar/;12715857;/fileinfo.html

Hope this helps :)
