Hello there!

Today, -Kobas- lent me the responsibility in maintaining the group. I won't be making any major changes around here.

Anything that doesn't require a new discussion to be made or bumping an outdated one should go here.

PS. I recommend for members stay away from my pointless 2013-early 2014 posts in the group.

Well, first of all, congrats on being the maintainer now. I feel like the group has been inactive and maybe we could do something that could probably promote this group and of course, this group's goal or aim is to unite map reviewers here in Hive.

Has there ever been zero pending maps? I want to do it some time, but I'm a little busy right now.

---

I've been in the process in recruiting a few new members over the past three days (They had to ask answer a few questions and show their experience). The group will be revived soon, I promise it will be a splash :)

@Chaosy
They died out because many reviewers just did their own thing, which is fine. I don't think I'll ask for everyone to be a part of a custom reviewing system.

@Daffa
Mmm yeah, it sounds like people will notice and recently updated maps will get more attention If it happens again. The real challenge is keeping it under five maps every day :)

For the activity production for the group, we can use some random fun stuff, but that's unprofessional for us here in my honest opinion.

Anyway, I think we should be like the old days back in 2008 or so, where members of the group are very valued. Each of our reviews count quickly toward Map's Approval, and honestly, I wish Ralle has sort of Mini Mods that actually has powers to decide a map's fate, with at least 2/3 mini mods decides approval/rejection of a map automatically.

I can rarely reviews but I try to wreak havoc with what I still have, loss some skills due to long absence.

Sounds like a good idea to me. The Pending Maps Section is now 2 pages long (much better than last year when it was 8-9!!) but still I am pretty disappointed. Many of these pending maps have been reviewed by at least one reviewer and they are still as they, pending for no reason. Couldn't they be approved/rejected right now? There's nothing that can stop moderators from doing so otherwise this challenge of keeping the section below 5 is pretty impossible.

Instead of applying a mini-moderation system that the higher mods would obviously void it out now due to um, reasons.

I suggest that all users who can express a criticism that would fit best for a moderator's comment for approving and rejecting maps must be all sent to all map moderators, may it be a comment or a private message, this is the most fast and most applicable decision I have ever experienced and acknowledged after being a map moderator for such a long time now.

Although not all of you will be exempted for your reviews by us map moderators, but it will take us time, decision, and proper handling that we can use all of your reviews as our aid in cleaning out the pending resources.

This have been done in previous events, and I am assured, it helped me a lot.

As Orcnet stated, it depends on how fitting the review can be used as the moderator comment honestly. I'm sorry I don't have clear guidelines :/

Anyway kinda agree to Daffa but Orcnet's suggestion is good too. Don't you think?
I like both as well. How about everyone post pending reviews in a thread that I (and Orcnet?) check often? That would do three positive things. 1. Increase the group's activity, 2. Allow maps reviewed be checked faster, and 3. it can be used as a reference to check all past reviews of yourself or others.

Well, we can always have some events related to reviewing. Hmm.

Anyway, thank you all for joining the discussion. This is still unresolved but we're getting somewhere.

Any objection?

Oh, I'm the only map moderator at the moment. Orcnet needs to deal with life for a month and Kobas and HM aren't here at the moment (Orcnet moderated 10+ in a day after he planned to temporarily leave!). So you reviewers really are saving the pending section!
