My only problem with this model is I am having an absurd amount of trouble shaving its filesize down.

It is a fairly simple model yet it is 155kb, which to me is somewhat large given the 8mb map limit.

That and I pride myself on having models with low filesize.

Imperial troops are coming, I just need to finalize their skeletons/bodies and then they're ready to be packed and shipped.

The max file size limit has been raised for maps however it wasn't raised that high, it is 128MB. Your models are awesome and awesome models that are low file size are even better.

Blizzard changed the 8mg limit last patch to around 128mb.

Absolutely lovely, and a true shame that such hasn't existed til now.

Pretty clever, using the Blood Mage animations. Some more 'swordplay' animations would take this guy really over the top.

Yep, but I'd get slammed if I didn't stylize him with team colour.

His eyes can be made to turn black (along with the trim of his cape) if you change his team colour to neutral/hostile.

A little fiddly, but this way everybody wins.

Vader's eyes are actually dark red in the original Star Wars, now named Star Wars IV: A New Hope.
It's not only until Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back where we get it totally back.

Therefor, in time line, we get red eyes in Rogue One, Rebels, and 4. Whereas we get black in 5 and 6. Also III but that doesn't make much sense, does it?

Usage is quite specific, but it looks great and works just fine in-game. Also, filesize is pretty good to a custom textured model. Approved.

(Consider adding footprints if you ever get to work on it again)

Fix his eyes, but otherwise amazing model. Could also use an alternate attack where he jumps and comes down vertically with his saber. Overall 8/10 keep it up!

Are people really against the team-coloured eyes?

Frankly I'm at a loss of where else to put teamcolor on him, and I'm not overly eager on getting roasted for having the only TC be on his cape.

I'll need you to send me a picture or a gif of the attack you have in mind, I'm trying to picture it but each time it plays out it looks silly in my mind for whatever reason.

Maybe put the teamcolor on the lightsaber(or lightsabre) and I'm just gonna lock his color to red (using teamcolor, switching from match owning player to Player 1 [Red]). No matter the player.

Warcraft 3 doesn't use .MPQs anymore, so in order for my tools to work I have to manually inject the old .MPQs every time there is an update

They're being put on hold while I wrap up WotK stuff - then I've got to go through and raise their polycount around the shoulders, arms, and legs so they don't flatten when they bend and flex

Any help I can get for WotK will speed me along my way towards the Star Wars Grand Pack
Though I won't be making anything Disney has made, which means no Aladdin, Chopper, or Rey the literally-best-at-everything.

From me, you will absolutely be seeing the expanded universe, classic legendarium content, and importantly (to me) the Imperial Remnant & New Republic

- The Imperials will be released first, as their skin is done and most of their units are simple armour-wise
- Rebels will take a bit of time due to their varied uniforms
- Clones I might not do. On my own, at least.
- CIS battledroids, droidekas, and others like the Gonk and Astromech will be released in a droid pack with an omni-skin
- Pirates, Gamorreans, Chiss, Tusken Raiders, etc will all be released in the same pack - they'll be based on the old Jedi Knight games

Heroes will be harder to do... well, except for Luke.

I seriously dont know how you maintain the rythim, but damn dude. I might need to shift my focus to buildings as every time I think on doing something you end also planning it. (Herrdave doing lotr, might do some star wars. People like star wars!) Even if I already have projects but anyway, gotta add to the pile.

Maybe make the buildings based on galactic adventures...

Also about the mpq, why ho? Many of the changes arent graphical. I think using an older one will not effect model making as blizzard isnt adding any new models and textures other than the team colors from all that I know.

I am pretty sure that it is intended to be empty, that way it saves polygons as these parts will never be seen ingame.
Same thing with the shoulders, which are completely hidden by the cloak
