    I have found a nice building pack that you can use for the San'layn faction in the future. You can use this San'layn building pack instead of the San'layn building models that are based on Undead buildings found on your War's Legacy map but not yet used because you haven't created the San'layn faction.

    Hey, just to let you know that Tauren hero with white fur, can’t remember his name, has first 2 spells bugged. First spell is overhealing a lot, and when it explodes it insta-kills nearby friendly units. And second spell, those thorn fields, are doing 0 damage.
    Do you still have the link to the OG Dark Iron Clan map? The old one not the 2.0 one. The one where Technician's ult was still him turning into a giant tank.
    Hello! I wanted to ask you a question about merging separate playable factions into a single map.
    Is it still hard? Or have you found any hacks, tools, or healthy practices? As of right now, I simply cannot wrap my head around making the process any easier than manually copy-pasting everything.

    @Michael Peppers Thank you! I appreciate your time and effort, and I will give both methods a try once I have the time.
    I also wanted to link a thread that I found where @Dr Super Good suggested yet another method using yet another tool.
    From what I understand right now, his method involved converting WC3 files into text files that could be edited in bulk and merged into a single file, which could then be converted back to .obj, which could then be imported into a map.
    Meanwhile, your method involves exporting data from separate maps into a single "input" folder, and then improting it into a map.

    I see WarTransfer as a magical tool that simplifies the process of transfering all data from a single source map into several others. It sounds like a dream come true, and I am incredibly happy that it exists, but it does not help my current circumstance. Right now, instead of creating all playable factions on a single map, I keep them all separate for the sake of convenience. (It keeps things neat and tidy.) But then it presents the issue where I have to somehow put separate playable factions from separate playable maps into a single landscape.
    Again, these are my preliminary assumptions. I have yet to get on my PC and see everything in person.
    Anyway, thank you for your time! I really appreciate your help.

    I can confirm W3x2Lni is another tool that can be used to edit/merge game data, it's not too dissimilar to what Widgetizer does but I had some other issues with it I don't remember atm.

    I don't know what happens if you save a map that has data as .slk and .txt in it, maybe World Editor will save it back to .w3o, maybe not
    Hi, I just experienced a masterpiece map. I played your old map before, which was named Ultimate Battle. Yet there are quite bugs or errors during the game. When I played Undead Nerubian and I built a Forge, there was a high wall that blocked my vision while playing. Next one appeared while I played Ice Troll, I trained Highclass - The final building troop without losing Gold. Finally, Dark Iron Race Ai didn't work, I mean the servant didn't mine gold instead of carrying wood. Sorry for my language, I try to feedback some bugs that appear in your project. I can't wait to see Forsaken, Elves Remnant, Tauren, Dalaran and The Lost Ones in this map. Thank you

    I'm not sure what you mean by high wall. The Dark Iron Clan sounds like you set the as "Night Elves," it breaks all ai. Glad you enjoy the project.

    What about Human Nations (Lordaeron, Stormwind, Stromgarde, Gilneas, Alterac, Kul'Tiras)? I know Kul'Tiras is a naval faction but I think you can introduce them with land and air units along with race exclusive naval units. You can add the Silver Hand to the pile too.

    Lordaeron would essentially be the base Alliance race, without the late dawf/elf Units. To spice things up, you could probably use the post-Breaking of the Alliance, pre-Third War period as a starting point, focusing on the Royal/Noble House military.

    Stormwind, I believe it would depend on when in the timeline you pull from. The "Purist Stormwind" would be an expanded version of the WCI Humans. Post WC2 would have a lot of “foreign” influence, a lot of the returning population were Lordaeronian, if I remember correctly. So basically WC2 Humans expanded. And Post-WC3 could be an Alliance-style faction with units from your other races. You could focus more on a cultural aspect like the Brotherhood of the Horse (WC1 Manual.

    For Alterac, I agree with it being a "bandit" faction. I have an old Alterac Layout Document from the map I was working on a few years back if you want to take a look for ideas. I’m currently working on an update for CFW and two new race maps, Goblins and Warcraft-style Drow, so I will probably not get back to working on it for a long while yet, so feel free to use.

    I dont find the first two all that interesting. If I make Lordaeron, funny enough, that will be all the Human factions having their own race. Lordaeron, High Elves, Dwarves. I think my Scarlet Crusade could be the "Lordaeron" faction.

    Stormwind could have something there. Pure human faction focused on more of the good of humanity.

    Looks like your Bandits are mostly done, I say finish them. Lots of neat ideas.

    Emarald Nightmare maybe, though barely any models so I'd have to retexture everything myself to be red.
    Satyr, Jungle Troll, Mag'har Orc, Kul'Tiran: naw. Satyre's would be part of Nightmare. Jungle Trolls are a dime a dozen. Mag'har barely got anything unique to them. Kul'Tiran are a sea-based faction with a gameplay that barely has any sea play.
    Goblin, Gnome: Barely any good building models. Especially Gnomes. And their stature posses issues with gameplay.
    Pandaren is on the list, but havent felt a drive to make them.

    You don't need to retexture Emerald Nightmare models. Check this out. I also found building pack for Jungle Trolls. You have multiple factions for elves (High Elves, Felblood Elves, Void Elves, High Elf Remnants). Why not muItiple factions for trolls, mon (Ice Trolls, Jungle Trolls [Gurubashi and Darkspear], Forest Trolls [Amani], Dark Trolls, Blood Trolls, Sand Trolls, Zandalari Trolls, etc.) ? I am sure you can make unique features for Mag'har Orcs too. Some modelers are making Orc building packs. You can use them for Mag'har Orcs. There are good building models for Goblins too, but Gnome building models are not too many, I agree with you. You definitely should make a Pandaren faction because there are extraordinary building packs, various hero options, spellcasters based on elements (Storm, Earth, Fire, Void), and unique mechanics (for example farm building makes buildings invisible etc. There are many unique faction mechanic potential there.)

    Yes, I have a lot of elves. But I did just mention the two Troll factions on my list. Sand Trolls and Zandalari. The other troll types I really dont know.
    Mag'har Orcs just seem basic to me. I'd rather make a Shadowmoon Clan or one of the other orc clans. Actually, yeah, add Shadowmoon to the pile. I have ideas for them.
    The Pandas do have a lot going for them and they're not crazy saturated.
    Hmm... why do I not see other races from Ultimate Battle here in your repertoire? Is it because it belong to other authors?

    Cast range increase/reduction, AoE radius increase/reduction, manacost increase/reduction and many more works as well. The issue is attack index. The editor uses attack index as 0 and 1 instead of 1 and 2.

    I was wondering what your thoughts are on the following as factions:
    1. Emerald Nightmare (Whether that means "Corrupted Night Elves" as a whole or "Corrupted Ancients" like Tichondrius' corrupted night elves, that's up to you to interpret.) Standard edition, since there's already a reforged one.
    2. The Drust.
    3. Druids of the Flame (Whether that means Majordomo Staghelm, Primalists or a fusion of both.)
    4. The Abyssal Maw (Neptulon, Hydraxian Waterlords, Naga like Skar'this the Heretic, Sea giants, Makruras, Rockpool murlocs, The Kvaldir, Waveblade Ankoan.)
    5. The Zerg Swarm. (A thought I had was the Overmind as a hero, but he is a building or static. He could far sight periodically, with a long cooldown, spread creep.) An idea for heroes could be Kerrigan (Her Infested Form from SC2) (could use her abilities from SC2), Eschueta the Wicked (Looks like Kerrigan from SC1 and has her abilities from SC1) and The Cerebrate.
    6. The Mogu Empire (Zandalari, Saurok, Pandaren slaves.)
    7. The Twilight's Hammer Clan (Cho'Gall, Pale Orcs, Ogres, Ogre Magi, Dark Naaru.)
    8. The True Horde (Garrosh empowered by the Heart of Y'shaarj, the Klaxxi, The Kor'Kron, Blackfuse Company, Mogu Terracotta, Dark Shaman.)

    Haha, nah not druids. Necromancy, closely followed by Warlock. Luckily, kind folks like you have scratched this itch, so I've delved into other ones.
    1. Yeah I thought so too! A couple of cool ways to approach them. You can go Tichondrius/demon route or more Old God-y route, or both!
    2. The Drust were Vrykul and then discovered Thros, the Blighted Lands. "Druidic death magic"/"Drust magic being a macabre version of druid magic". Dark Druids, witches, stones formed like stone henge or houses taken over by Heartsbane Coven, slender druids, Hulking bodies, Nightscreamers, Skeletal Drust, Behemoths, masks to mind control people.
    3. Fair. A part of me thought to improvise the rest, but it'd end up clashing with Dark Iron, right? Could be wrong, though.
    4. You could kick out the Naga and murlocs if you wanted (considering, they were very few) and the rest would make sense.
    5. All good. That's why I didn't bring any W40k or the rest of Starcraft's factions.

    7. Hey, man. I know I ain't the first to think of it and I'm glad I wasn't. How exciting! No pressure, though.

    True... just a fan of the theme. A bit harder to cobble together a theme with them that makes sense, which is a bit of a headache. Eh well. I guess I'll have to discard any future discussions/idea input for them. Even with taking additional liberties with Hearthstone, there's only so much that can be done. With Fire Balance Druids, Fire Cat Druids, Fire Scorpion Druids, Fire Crow/Hawk Druids, Fire Wyvern Druids. Keepers of the Flame, Fire Spiders, Hell hounds, things like that (See the Firelands and Molten Front for what I mean.)
    I do see now that a lot of the inspo for such a faction definitely would need to be broadened to a Ragnaros affiliated affair, rather than just Druids and/or "fire corrupted druid like things".

    Hi Wa666r, I would like to know how do you merge so many races from multiple works into War's Legacy v1.1 (Draenei Update) since that would mean a ton of importing, object data copy-paste (and ID fixing) and so on. Would love to know how you deal with the high complexity of merging everything into one map, thanks!

    I checked your map's trigger and it seems the latter is already done (only loop when in use), the former only yield little benefit from some reports (2.0 might be different) , and I think a more prevalent issue is with unit group.

    I don't recommend checking if unit group is empty, instead use an integer variable that increases when you add unit to group, and decreased when you remove unit from group, this will help with speed since unit group is one of the more expensive operation.

    Another one is that for longer triggers, try to save (triggering unit) and the likes into a variable if referenced multiple times from the same triggers.

    I apply a lot of these methods, but currently struggling to fix an issue I am facing with a High Elf update. The entire faction has a periodic and its causing quite the micro-stutter.

    Hello. I have seen your War's Legacy project and it's already impressive what are you doing.
    I was wondering if in the future you will add other factions like:
    • The Amani Trolls.
    • The forces of Stormwind. This might be a little redundant with the Human faction but since I see that you want to add the Scarlet Crusade I thought that Stormwind should be added as a faction.:peasant-smile:
    • The forces of Kul Tiras. Similar to Stormwind, this can also be redundant as a Human faction and also it is a Nation that is strong with ships but it's my favorite nation of the Alliance and if it could be added it would be great. :peasant-smile:
    Take it only as a suggestion. You decide the factions you want to add to your project.

    At this point, I'm not the biggest fan of Human factions. Theyre already hard enough to make unique. AS for Troll's I have ideas for Sand Trolls.
