But yeah I agree, though that's the thing, as the killer your target is everyone but allowing separate shops and houses adds realism whilst also provides the killer more opportunity since people have to travel more often between buildings.
Btw, which of these scenarios sounds better...
1. anyone can enter anyone's house unless if that person buys a lock (ridiculously expensive.)
2. everyone already has a lock but you can buy a lock pick (ridiculously expensive -- will be sold by npc to avoid 'suspicion')
Personally, I'm beginning to think of 2. because I'd rather if detectives needed a warrant or something otherwise they will just storm in anywhere, check property or people and find murder weapons, etc. which effectively ruins the game.
