I'm not the perfect guy for terraining, but thanks to Starcraft II, I improved a little at Warcraft. I can show you some terrains that I used to my AoS that never had released, one of them a friend did to me and other I did by myself (and is pretty symmetric).
My friend basically asked what it is supposed to be, and I try to explain, basically a AoS, faction vs faction, icy themed, he abused the Raise tool from terrain palette, I changed it (as you can see, the terrain is flat at all), it used to be a giant sphere in the center, like a globe. It is more focused on lanes, less neutral, less space to do things in the map itself, he played very well with tileset to stay distinct from each one, but it become, for me, a little boring, so I did mine two months after.
Basically it's a icy sanctuary, lots of places for neutral, lots of places to ganks, abuse in tileset, I tried my max to make the terrain the most natural and symmetric at the same time, I also used to do a thing that I learned ages ago, that is the river outside the base, it was fun and worked. Also I used no cliff in my terrain (because they're ugly'sh).

No imported models in any of them, they can be a lot better with imports :ogre_kawaii:.
