  • Dear i'm sure u paid attention. If i would make a full scale replica, not tiny, then not even the largest map size, 480x480 could support it. Anyway thanks for pointing that out.     Well no. That's a canceled RPG project of mine. But if i'm to replicate the whole of Azeroth at full scale considering the warcraft 3 version, then it would take at least 3 or 4 years to be made. And sadly i have no coders or trigger-ers to help me out. U see me and the triggers are like a lion with and impala. If u know what i mean. Thanks for asking :)

    hm, never seen that. What kind of death animation is that? Because they dont go into the air like the default hero

    you change vortex colour every X seconds I suppose. You use waits for this or something?

    (Post) (+4) A job well-done. Lots of changes here and I do think it would be better if you will rename the version to 0.2 instead of 0.1b due to many updated you made actually.
    I don't use milkshape because it doesn't work with the shadows. 3ds max directly with NeoDex. The shadow thing works great for objects but I don't know about large maps like the ones you make, don't know if it's suited since it requires some extra space sacrificing. I'll show you how it works when I make a tutorial.
    You probably saw the shadow study models. They were rendered in 3ds max but you can also put untextured models in the world editor by merging all objects in one and applying a white texture or a "replaceable id 1" which would be team color, of course on doodads the team color will be black or gray.

    The shadow and light thing I usually do is made with 3ds max by baking textures. It requires neodex tools or 3ds max 5 with art tools, both work fine. The procedure is a little more complicated and delicate. I might make a tutorial about it when I have time, if you are interested in something like that.

    however I fixed 2 types of crashes myself.
    1. the path should be gamepath\war3.exe just not gamepath
    2. you need to put it inside your wc3 folder
    allows you to run 2 instances of wc3 and then play with yourself through local area network. Sadly it doesnt work for me
    I can test it with you. But I cant use battle.net so it would have to be over garena then.

    roger that. It's hard to understand how people make some systems. Like how do they do system that sends info a to a server. Maybe it's not hard at all but it seems advanced to me.
    well I am not a expert on the field but those few loading screen I have got has been like 500 kb+ which is much if you only can use 8000
    we use C# XNA
    I know, UI, loading screen and music/sounds take so much memory.

    that's one of the reasons I prefer single players maps. Spells are miles easier.
    I just finished a basic zelda game. Will start on a new group project soon, we are 6 coders and 3 who will do will graphics. It will be kinda like metal slug if you know that old game.

    oh well, I need to go to bed now, its 7 in the morning havnt sleept at all xD

    theyre not that popular in the spell section but they took many hours to create and are somewhat nice looking ^^.
    its funny how MUI makes shit hard.
    He hosts servers. But he had some coding during his school period. I have played around a little with it. I am currently working with 2d games :(
    Sadly I only made two systems that I am somewhat proud of :-/ (atleast that I can remember). But yeah, you spend more time thinking on how to do than actually coding it. Atleast on the somewhat advanced ones. But yeah I feel kinda the same when it comes to eye-candy spells it's just sick.

    My dad (who works with computers) bought me a Robin Hood game when I was 5, I got addicted to computer games because of that. I decided that I wanted to work with creating a game. Even tho I didnt know how you make games, but luckily I like it.
    oh nice, designing what? I mean cloths or chairs?. It feels great to code when you actually succes with a system that youre proud of. Sadly you (atleast I) get this feeling way to rarely. Yeah that have allways been my dream too. I decided to be a coder when I was around 5 years old :p.     Girls in generals tend to focus much on visuals. heh, who wouldnt. I feel out of touch after a month. My main problem with map is that I can only code and I only like to code systems :p
