hey i just made a break . That i don't upload models currently doesn't mean i don't make others anymore . I just started making a tank for .VTZ.'s request and i try 2 fix/improve some older models.
i'm still trying to make models for Argos dude, i just made a few other things for my purposes. Do you still need blades (swords, daggers) or do you want me to make axes, polearms or else?
About the minigun btw, the bunker mngun with some sort of ... handle where the unit will hold it will be perfect. Just if possible the barrels should be a big bigger.
in MDLVIS it won't show up, as it has the same problem as the Model Viewer: both don't support War3Patch stuff. Oh yeah, found the problem: forgot to remove Replaceable ID 0. Thx 4 reporting the problem! ;-)
Btw, ur minigun bunker doesnt seem to wrk. I have no idea why. I downloaded it again to see the new scaled gun and it doesnt work in editor :? Might wanna check it out.
oh, forgot to tell you another important thing: sounds (like death), and all kinds of emitters (fire, smoke, etc.) are best done in Magos. The same for geoset- & texture-animations
i actually use many programs......but mainly Milkshape, Magos, Geoset Merger and MDLVIS. I mostly use Milkshape for both texturing & animating. But sometimes i also animate with MDLVIS. Just check the tutorials @ THW and google (keyword: animating in Milkshape; skinning in Milkshape).
O.K. but i got skype ONLY for my rlfs. So i won't do web-cam chats with people i only know from online. Sorry! But i can still chat with u in skype by writing, that's fine. But remember: NO VIDEO OR VOICE CALLS!
Hey, it is no rush right now, there is still a lot that the team is still working on. I would like to get together and discuss things. Or perhaps I could start some discussions in the Argos: Project Group.
O.K. i will send you 3 versions of it: the animated one, the .mdx version of the animated one and the base file (for the case you want to try making own anims). Both are .ms3d files. Here we go: http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/pastebin.php?id=r60v5j . It uses 2 ingame skins already to reduce filesize. You can see which ones if you open the .mdx. I myself am quite embarassed by my animations. Tried to make new ones as well, but I failed in this task. :-( . I'm mostly making geoset merges now that use ingame anims & skins (with a few esceptions).
almost.....i'm doing around with the skin now and fixing some animation problems, otherwise it's fine! ;-) found in-game skins to use so that the file-size stays low
