If you really want to discuss the Libyan war you can make a thread just about that in world news, but note the second it becomes a flamewar it's getting closed too. The other thread was a news post, IE it's main purpose was to inform - you are free to make a discussion.
As an offtopic moderator if I see a flame-war about to happen or already happening, it's my job to prevent it or stop it. I didn't just do this out on a whim, I discussed it with the other offtopic moderator and we both agreed it'd be better closed.

And it's not only my opinion. It's the opinion of the admins and the other mods as well as Ralle. So unless you want to be banned you just have to accept that we don't want avatars like that.
I don't have the required privileges to remove avatars. It was reported by another member and was removed after that by an admin. We don't want nude/semi-nude pictures of girls here. If you want a girl as your avatar then pick one with clothes on.
Any person with common sense can figure out why you shouldn't have avatars like that. If you get an avatar like that again you can expect a temporary ban. And if you don't stop after that you might get a perma ban.

Please change that avatar unless you want to be punished.
