There is nothing stronger than the bond between a man and his faithful steed, but these poor men were forced to participate in the wars of the past, where the man perished being burned and decapitated, and his steed sadly was slain by the weapons of their enemies. Now, the rider has returned in the form of a specter, and his horse has been resurrected to return to the living what they suffered in life.
