Good birth animation. Maybe you could make first erect the hangar and then the tower or the opposite to add some more dynamics and diversity. Although I'm not happy with these girder textures (speaking also for my models), but maybe you could find something else.
For the death animation, I strongly advise you to use proper splat event, you know that which makes a crater after death and more exaggerated explosion.
The next step could be attachment points, which allows the model being on fire, which also lack my models.
You always impress me with your ability to use ingame textures as well as you do... it's kind of annoying and depressing on my part as well.
8/10, looks a bit odd because of the sharp change in texture tone and it would have been better if it had a work animation.
