This is not complete in the slightest, but I am looking for feedback on how to make it more fun.

Hopefully people will recognize the opening song. It is possibly the best pirate song ever, and it's from a children's TV show.

I submitted this in Misc, because it is sort of an RPG, but the main objective is really to just have money, drink rum, and kill any bastards who get in your way.

very fun map i do like its orginality as there hasnt been too many pirate sims and there should be. ideas for future versions: more ships piratey ships could make them heroes and have em upgrade(level up) as they go along) more piraty units/buildings i know its not complete but still id like to see some swash bucklers instead of knights. and last but not least make EVERY building able to take over that way you can own entire towns with your piratey skills. but i its very fun and i hope to see future versions :D :D :D

I've been playing the map off and on, as what is there is amazingly well done and I've yet to find a decent glitch or bug, or any, to mention. I've not been playing as much as I could, due to various listed reason:

Hero:
You start with a pre-chosen hero. Does that mean all scurvy dogs are the same?
There are only 3 "Emporium" abilities, and do not -actually- upgrade. That I know of, at least.
With just two hero abilities, it becomes quite difficult to specialize in one thing as you eventually split into both every other level.

Town: There are, as Skullbasher mentioned, not enough buildings to take over.
I believe there should also be more towns, aside from the one you can start with, or that you could actually take over buildings that other pirates -built-, not just took over.

Items: Rum only heals you so much, and costs... well, not too much. Perhaps there would be a stronger drink that packs a better punch?

Equippables: Amazing selection for armors and weapons, though the stat-bonus was disappointing for the price. To actually buy some of the better weapons and/or armors, you needed to take over a blight-zone and mine. That costs quite alot of money, and the chance of finding "Bullion" to offer the currency needed is not enough.

Obviously, there's more that can be done, but I look forward to it's finished project. I've enjoyed the game tremendously thus far, but it's slightly apparent that it could be tuned up more towards completion.

You are a pirate, Grimdude, so can you please finish the map and help us be one?

I've been making a map kinda like this for a while. Instead of just being a pirate, you have a choice of being Imperial Navy Captain, Pirate Captain, "Legend" or "Merchant." Basically, the Imperials try to wipe out the pirates and they get their money from the merchant ships that pass through the map. The pirates are meant to wipe out the Imperials by getting gold by raiding merchant ships and looting them. The legends just try to kill everyone. Its based heavily off of Pirates of The Carribean.
Anyways, my point of saying this was that while your map making skills and trigging is obviously better, i think it makes the game way better if there is a goal. Even if its never accomplished, at least it gives you a reason to be doing something.
I was also wondering how you make ships attack while still moving like in BATTLESHIPS and also if there is a group of triggers that allow a boarding party.
Overall i rate this a 3 cuz it has OK models (try getting the civil war rifle men as riflemen) but the map could be a bit better as well as the triggering. As mentioned before, it could also have a bit more of a goal.
