[Defense / Survival] Yet Another Zombie Invasion

Yet Another Zombie Invasion

Map genre: Assault/defense
Number of players: between 9 and 13.

Map description:
Humans have to survive for an hour against an upcoming undead onslaught whilst undead have to eradicate humanity by destroying main resistance points!

What that basically says is:
There are two teams, undead and allied humans - game duration is 1 hour. During that time zombies have to destroy all main human buildings and humans have to have at least 1 of them still standing after that time. Zombies start off relatively weak but can quickly evolve to outmatch even elite human units. The map does heavily promote teamwork and cooperation, not only for human side but also undead one (undead team consists of 2 to 3 players, WIP) - zombies share upgrades and evolutions whilst humans have vital keypoints that can expose allies if left unprotected.

Inspired by maps such as MZA (Medieval Zombie Apocalypse), MZI (Medieval Zombie Invasion) and many, many more. Similar mechanics to those two mentioned but with twists here and there.

Differences:
  • More fast-paced, less stale gameplay - whilst still revolving around choke points and defensive positions, units will die and be made faster and in more quantities.
  • Fixing the imbalance - getting rid off mechanics that may seem unfair or artificially implemented to fix balancing issues.
  • More focus on zombie evolutions - choose your own path and evolve to counter human strategies
  • Themed lore - not using unfitting models and lore pieces in various tooltips and descriptions
  • Unique map - not using any of the current map for the objective, making whole terrain from the scratch.
  • Other gameplay changes, such as splitting human income between smaller villages rather than just main base, unique teleportation restrictions - TP scrolls now cant teleport you to main bases but rather than to mage-faction controlled arcane sanctums spread around the map.
Map terrain theme: Autumn, cities, villages and wilderness.

Anyone that enjoys clashes of human armies and undead zombie tide, fans of MZI and MZA.

Already under development (but no version to share yet, thus not posting this in Map Development Forum). Name might change.
