I think this has been discussed before, but it seems the thread is gone. The conclusion of it was that browser ads are suited individually to the preference of the user, which means that if you visited too many chocolate cupcake sites, it'll spam you with chocolate cupcake ads.

Same applies to aging ladies in weird positions, I guess....
