Gameplay

Wrath of the Earth Warden
Created by Woodenplank (aka. Battlehound) and Wooden_knife

The map is a 12-player 480x480 size map, where each player is free to ally and unally anyone (with some restrictions), and each player can control a large army, supported by legendary heroes from the Warcraft lore.

The map is set during the Cataclysm (ref. World of Warcraft: Cataclysm), where Azeroth is in turmoil after several natural dissasters brought on by the Dragon Aspect Deathwing (The Earth Warden) and his Twilight's Hammer cultists. Each player controls a major Azerothian faction, and has a number of historical events (some of these are not lore-accurate) that Awards them with additional units, heroes, items, etc.

Player 1 Red - The Forsaken
Led by the Banshee Queen Sylvanas, seated in the Ruins of Lordaeron.

Player 2 Blue - The Twilight's Hammer and Dark Horde
Initially led by the Dragon Nefarian, the Blackrock orcs and Twilight's Hammer seek to bring about Deathwing's return.

Player 3 Teal - The Twilight's Hammer and Dark Iron Dwarfs
The Dark Iron dwarves of Blackrock Mountain serve Ragnaros and the Elements, they seek to open Sulfuron Keep, letting Ragnaros set the world ablaze.

Player 4 Purple - Gilneas
Hidden behind their massive defenses, the Gilneans must choose between Humanity and The Worgen Curse.

Player 5 Yellow - The Dwarves of Khaz Modan
Ever loyal to their Stormwind allies, the Dwarves seek to unite the clans as they battle the Twilight's Hammer.

Player 6 Orange - Proudmoore Forces
The forces of Theramore and Kul'tiras. This strong naval force is initially unopposed, and the world lies at its feet.

Player 7 Green - Zandalari Trolls
The Zandalari are a small empire, and they must claim control of the other Troll Empires around Azeorth.

Player 8 Pink - The Orcish Horde
The war-hungry and reckless Chieftain Garrosh seeks world dominance, no matter the cost.

Player 9 Grey - The Darkspear and Bloodhoof Tribe
The Darkspears and Tauren have been faithful to the Horde, but with Garrosh's reign, the ties are weakening.

Player 10 Light Blue - Night Elves
The Night Elves are the protectors of Kalimdor and the forest which the Horde seeks to burn.

Player 11 Dark Green - Kingdom of Stormwind
The Human Nation of Stormwind seek to defeat the Twilight's Hammer, forever banishing Deathwing's minions.

Player 12 Brown - The Remnants of the Scourge
After the death of the Lich King Arthas, the Scourge has been weakened, and they now seek to reclaim the Plaguelands and Lordaeron.

This map was originally based on Azeroth Wars Legacy Reborn 1.67, this map was publically realeased by it's last editor, Eagleman. Eagleman has also given his consent of the Cataclysm map, in helping to create a forum for the map on Diplomunion.

thats the chinese wall of text

http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/tools-560/map-description-generator-1-2-a-224558/

with this tool you can put cages to hide and show text, to improve and make the description nice to read,

its like a complete summary of the world war II

Ha, that joke. Anyways, I agree with him, your text is the wall of what the fuckness. You should fix that with VK's map description thingy maker, or -Kobas-'s map description templates. Also, screenshots so we can take a good peek at the map first.

PHP:
Wrath of the Earth Warden
Created by Woodenplank (aka. Battlehound) and Wooden_knife

Set in the era of Deathwing's return, this adaptation of the popular strategy map Azeroth Wars takes place during the Cataclysm, a time of environmental change and political turmoil.

The game is for 12 players, who each control one of Azeroth's greatest factions. Players can command great armies of up to 300 food, and all factions have unique heroes and elite units to form squads of deadly and durable combatants.
Players may use the commands "-ally" and "-unally" to make for break alliances.
Players have a number of historical events that they can achive through time and effort, these events help make the player stronger, or gives him extra resources or bases.

Factions:
Red: Forsaken
The human empire of Lordaron lies in ruins, and all but a few humans have been killed, and reanimated as Forsaken undead under the Banshee Queen Sylvanas. Sylvanas has overcome the betrayal of Varimathras and Grand Apothecary Putress, and she now seeks to retake her ancient home of Quel'thalas. And she will not stop at any obstacles to achive her goals.

 Events:
An Ancient Home - If Sylvanas reaches her ancient home Quel'thalas, and enters Silvermoon, the Blood Elves will welcome their former General with open arms, and an alliance will be forged.
Perfection of Death - If the Forsaken destroy the Stratholme Slautherhouse they acquire the final Plague Research of the Scourge. This research may be incorporated into the Forsaken Blight through the Apothecarium, evolving it into the most deadly plague yet, the Wither, allowing a Disease Cloud to be applied to Forsaken melee units.
The other nations of Azeroth will be disgusted by this use of Scourge technology, and they will refuse to ally with the Forsaken.
-Forsaken cannot make use of the "-ally" command and will no longer be able to subjugate Quel'thalas.

 Heroes:
 Sylvanas Windrunner
 Nathandos Blightcaller
 Lor'themar Theron (after event)

Blue: Twillights Hammer of Gim Batol and Blackrock Clan
Archimonde was defeated long ago, the dreadlord masters have gone into hiding. The last few undead controlled by the Legion have been eradicated by Sylvanas. The last great demon lord in the Twisting Nether, Kil'Jaeden, has taken his chances with Prince Kael'thas. But now, even though the Burning Legion lies in shambles, a new power threatens the world. The Dragon aspect of the earth, Deathwing has awoken, and he has brought the Cataclysm with him. The doomsayers of the Twillights Hammer cult, led by Cho'gall, have allied themselves with the orcs of Blackrock Mountain, who have ended their war with the Dark Iron. Now the forces of Blackrock Mountain and Grim Batol fight to together to bring Deathwing back to Azeroth, and with him, the end of the world.

 Events:
Return of the World Eater(available after 15 minutes) - After killing Thrall and the rest of the Earthren Ring near the Maelstrom, the path for Deathwing will be cleared. Raged elementals will pour forth from Deepholm, led by Deathwing(Blue will gain Deathwing as a hero)

 Heroes:
 Deathwing (after event)
 Cho'Gall
 Rend Blackhand

Teal: Formerly Fel Horde - Dark Iron of Blackrock Mountain, Twillights Hammer of Kalimdor and elementals
The Dark Portal has been closed, and Azeroth has been sealed shut from contact with Outland(I know this isn't actual lore but whatever). But now, a new portal casts its shadow over Azeroth. Sulfuron Spire, towering above a lava lake in Mount Hyjal, a gateway to the Firelands, a gateway to the Elemental Plane, where fiery elementals roam freely, and where the Firelord Ragnaros rules with a molten fist. The Dark Irons of Blackrock mountain were responsible for first brining Ragnaros into the world of Azeroth, and since then they have been left enslaved by him. Although Ragnaros sits in Firelands, he left his lieutenant Majordomo Executus, to command over the Dark Iron dwarves and their King, Dagran Thaurissan. While the dwarves of Blackrock mountain assist their newfound allies, the orcs of upper Blackrock spire, the Twillights Hammer detachment in Silithus prepare for the invasion of Kalimdor

 Events:
Return of the World Eater(available after 15 minutes) - After killing Thrall and the rest of the Earthren Ring near the Maelstrom, the path for Deathwing will be cleared. Raged elementals will pour forth from Deepholm, led by Deathwing(Teal will gain earth elementals of Deepholm)
Sulfuron Spire(occurs after 20 minutes) - Sulfuron Spire opens in Kalimdor, allowing the fire elementals to step through under the leadership of Ragnaros, and the traitor Druid,Fandral Staghelm.
An elemental Bond - After Deathwings return, the elemental lord of Air, Al'akir will be look for an alliance with Neltharion. By opening the gates of Uldum, the Twillights Hammer of Kalimdor can ally themselves with the wind elementals.

 Heroes:
 Dagran Thaurissan
 Majordomo Executus
 Ragnaros(after event)
 Al'akir(after event)

Purple: Gilneas
The human empire of Lordaron lies in ruins, and now the only living human people left in Northren Eastern Kingdoms is Gilneas, cut off from the world by their great wall, they have managed to survive the plague and the Forsaken rampage. However, a more sinister threat has seeped into the kingdom, the curse of lycanthropy. Much of the population has been infected, and have become worgen; half human, half wolf. Led by the worgen-cursed Genn Greymane and the Worgen-hating Lord Darius Crowley, the kingdom of Gilneas searches for its place in the world, and wether it will be as wolf or human, will soon be decided (not lore accurate, but nevertheless)

 Events:
Path of the Beast - After five minutes, purple will have to choose between embracing the worgen curse and staying human. If you choose to embrace the worgen curse, Lord Godfrey will leave Gilneas, and travel to Shadowfang Keep. Ivar Bloodfang and his worgen pack will spawn in south Gilneas, where you can find them, and ally them. Belysra Starbreeze will spawn in southren Gilneas, carrying the scythe of Elune, which will allow the carrying hero to summon Worgen. Additionally; the Night Elves will have the chance to "-offer pack form", which Gilneas can then accept. This will give both teams Druids of the Pack, Night Elf boats will be ready to evacuate the Gilneans and the Howling Oak will become a Worgen base in Teldrassil.
Godfreys Will - After five minutes, purple will have to choose between embracing the worgen curse and staying human. If you choose to cleanse the infected Gilneans, Lord Crowly will leave Gilneas to join Ivar Bloodfang. Instead you will find Baron Ashbury in Shadowfang Keep, who will become a strong ally, should you go to Shadowfang Keep.

 Heroes:
 Genn Greymane
Lord Darius Crowley (lost by "Godfreys Will")
Lord Godfrey (lost by "Path of the Beast") (Note, becomes a Forsaken Hero if killed by Red, but will join Gilneas again, should they go for the human path)
Ivar Bloodfang (unlocked by "Path of the Beast")
Baron Ashbury (unlocked by "Godfreys Will")

Yellow - Dwarves of the Three Hammers
Although they have trouble overcoming the effects of the Cataclysm, the dwarves of Ironforge have managed to survive by entering an alliance with their old enemy the Dark Irons, now they seek to rid the south of orcs and Twillight Hammer cultists along with their ally, the kingdom of Stormwind. But much has changed after the Cataclysm, Magni was cursed to stone from using an ancient tablet, and Moira Thaurissan (formerly Moira Bronzebeard) has claimed the Throne of Ironforge. However, due to counseling of Anduin, the Council of Three Hammers have decided to accept Moira as queen, and the dwarves were spared from another "War of the Three Hammers."

 Events:

Green: Zandalari
After the Cataclysm shattered the home of the Zandalari, their philosophy changed dramatically. They saw that the best (in their eyes, the only) option for the troll to survive as a race, was to unite the tribes: Amani, Sandfury, Gurubashi, Vilebrach, Drakkari and Zandalari. Led by the mysterious Prophet Zul, the Zandalari seek out the other tribes, in order to unite them into a new Grand Troll Empire, which will rule over Azeroth, as the trolls once did.

 Events:
Zul'farrak - When the Prophet Zul has reached a sufficient level(not sure yet) he may travel to Zul'farrak, where he can aquire the assisstance of the Sand Trolls. This will give him demihero Ukorz Sandfury, and the Zandalari Witch Doctors will be replaced by Sandfury Witch Doctors (Same thing, but everything buffed a bit)
Zul'aman - When the Prophet Zul has reached a sufficient level(not sure yet) he may travel to Zul'aman. He can then persuade Daakara to join the Grand Troll Empire with his amani. This will give the Zandalari control of Dragonhawks, Daakara as a hero and Zandalari Axethrowers will be replaced by their more skillful Amani brethren.
Zul'gurub - When the Prophet Zul has reached a sufficient level(not sure yet) he may travel to Zul'gurub, to employ the assistance of the Gurubashi. Jindo the Godbreaker will happily accept this alliance, seeing as Zul'gurub is in disarray after the time of Hakkar. Jindo will join the new troll empire as a hero, and Gurubashi Soulflayers will become avaliable for the Troll Empire.
Zul'drak - When the Prophet Zul has reached a sufficient level(not sure yet) he may travel to Zul'drak. Here he will find the Drakkari, a troll tribe left broken by the long war with the Scourge. Chieftain Gal'darah gladly joins forces with the Zandalari, and his Drakkari Brawlers will replace Zandalari Warriors.
Path of the Gods/Power of the Mojo - After the troll tribes have been united, there will still be dispute among them. The trolls of the Eastern Kingdoms and Northrend wish to absorb their Animal Gods, to empower the trolls - if Green chooses this side; Jindo, Daakara and Gal'darah will become vastly empowered, and many new animal/troll morphs will join the ranks of the new empire. However, the trolls of Kalimdor and the isle refuse to sacrifice their gods, and the Zandalari will leave with the Sandtrolls, should the empire forsake their gods. But the troll empire can also chose to worship the animal gods, replacing Jindo, Daakara and Gal'darah with animal god spirits. All troll units will also be blessed with the favor of the loa spirits.
Awakening the Beast - After the Trolls have been reunited, and have decided to sacrifice or worship their gods, they may summon the beast Ghaz'rilla. If you chose to sacrifice the gods, Ghaz'rilla will be absorbed by Chief Ukorz Sandfury, who will become morphed. If you chose to worship the troll deities, Ghaz'rilla will replace Gal'darah as a hero.
Unity - After Garrosh kills Cairne in a duel (at the same time of Thralls departure for the Maelstrom) the Zandalari may -offer Unity, to allow the Darkspear Tribe a place in the New Troll Union Empire.

Pink: Garrosh's Horde
Orgrimmar is a thriving city, and the orc people prosper, spreading their influence throughout Kalimdor. But with the Cataclysm tearing the world apart, Thrall has been called upon to aid the Earthren Ring. This has put Garrosh Hellscream in the position of Warchief, and he has weakened the alliance between trolls, orcs and tauren. After 5 minutes of gameplay, Garrosh will have defeaten Cairne Bloodhoof in a dual, and due to an evil plot by Margretha Darkcloud, Cairne was killed. The trolls of Vol'jin were also kicked out of Orgrimmar, leaving the Hordes formerly strong alliance in ruins. The war-hungry Garrosh now seeks to claim all of Kalimdor for himself, before he takes the fight to the humans of the eastern kingdoms.

 Events:
Warpath - after 10 minutes, Thrall will leave the Horde in Garrosh's hands and travel to the Maelstrom with the Earthren Ring. Garrosh will kick out the Trolls, and defeat Cairne Bloodhoof in a duel, killing him. This will send tensions between the trolls&tauren and the orcs rising.
Fuel the fires - Ashenvale Forest is home to several Guardian Ancients, protecting the Night Elves of the Forest. For each time the horde chops down one of these ancients, they will receive 7500 lumber. (I know this isn't much, but better than nothing right?)
Allies of Kezan - By travelling to Azshara, the orcish horde can ally themselves with the goblin refugees of Kezan, led by [Insert Goblin Leader Name]. This will give them Goblin Explosives experts and Shredders.

 Heroes:
 Garrosh Hellscream
High Overlord Saurfang (yes, he will have cleave)

The Tauren of Mul'gore will lose their old chieftain Cairne Bloodhoof, it will be up to his son Baine to lead the tauren people to a brighter future.

 Events:
Echo Isle - After defeating Zalazane the trolls will have a powerful new position as a home, off the coast of Durotar, giving them much needed solitude from the war-mongering Garrosh Hellscream.
Hordes End - After the death of Cairne and the eviction of the trolls from Orgrimmar, Vol'jin eyes another chance for his people, another "horde" to become a part of - The United Troll Empire. If the Prophet Zul offers it, the Darkspear Tribe may ally themselves with the Zandalari, leaving the Tauren behind with the Orcish Horde. (This event needs more work)
Unity - After Garrosh kills Cairne in a duel (at the same time of Thralls departure for the Maelstrom) the Zandalari may -offer Unity, to allow the Darkspear Tribe a place in the New Troll Union Empire. The Darkspear can then -accept, they will leave the Tauren behind, instead gaining Zandalari Warriors. This will have the Darkspear leave the Horde forever.

Baine Bloodhoof (replaces Cairne early in the game)
 Rokhan

But with the coming of the Cataclysm, a new threat lurks. The Archdruid Fandral Staghelm plots to bring the elemental lord of fire, Ragnaros, to scourge Mount Hyjal, and while Tyrande seeks to stop this, she might not make it in time.

Events:
They will of course be affected by the opening of Sulfuron Spire

And along with the dwarves, they strive to rid Blackrock Mountain of orcs, and to stop Deathwing and his Twillights Hammer cult.
 Events:
The Forgotten Expedition - By bringing a hero to Valiance Keep, the Alliance Expedition may be restarted, and the humans of Stormwind will have a new foothold in Northrend.

Brown: Scourge Remnants
The Scourge has suffered heavy blows after the combined forces of the Alliance, Horde and Argent Crusade charged Northrend. And with a new Lich King, intent on keeping the Scourge passive, the undead seem to barely be a threat anymore. However, there are still those loyal to Arthas's plans. Within Scholomance Gandling continues to teach necromancers and acolytes. Ammenar the Coldbringer holds a firm grip on the Quilboar of Southen Barrens and, with his Death's Head cult, he plans to subjugate the entire Quilboar race in service of the Scourge. In Stratholme, Aurius prepares for the final assult on the Risen and Balnazzar, to conquer the rest of Stratholme - and then Lordaron.

 Events:
The Second Culling - After one final battle in Stratholme, Balnazzar has been defeated, and the last remainder of the Scarlet Crusade (Risen) has been wiped clean. Aurius is now the lord of whole Stratholme, and the old Slaughter House can be reopened, allowing abomanations to be built. (Not lore correct, but nevermind)

The Scourge Reborn - By killing Lord Marrowgar in Icecrown Citadel, the Scourge remnants can expose the Frozen Throne, leaving Bolvar vulnerable. By breaking the ice prison and killing Bolvar, the Crown of Domination can be aquired. Depending on whether Aurius, Gandling or Ammenar takes up the crown, you will get a diffrent Lich King. The Vrykul will once again worship the Lich King as "Death God," and will join the Scourge under the leadership of King Ymiron. After the crown has been placed upon a new head, the full might of the Scourge will once again be unleashed upon Azeroth.
