World Editor "Buttons" {CTRL+Q spawns a DC1... what is this?}

Hello,
when I go to the trigger editor, create a trigger, convert it to custom-text and then press CTRL+Q then a button named "DC1" appears... there are many other buttons too for example CTRL and # is FS. Does anyone know whats the meaning of this buttons?

His explanation is clear to me, but I don't know either what it does. It's probably a shortcut to some ascii character that can't be displayed by the trigger editor nor does it have any function. But I don't know...

Well, it's the first time I see anything similar. That's probably why I was not understanding. I don't know the meaning of the buttons either.

Those are not buttons. You cant click them.

Those are representations of certain ASCII symbols (Like LF = Line Feed = Linebreak, in Linux).

http://www.asciitable.com/ Heres a table with all ASCII symbols. Youll notice DC1 is on that list.

Like I said, ascii. But it doesn't have any functionality in jass other than not making the script compile...

Well, there kind of IS a possible application of this: ASCII representation of integers. You know rawcodes? Rawcodes are just integers. '0' equals 0x30 or 48 or 060.
