Workers "hesitate" to cross water

Hi one and all

I wonder if this is the right forum for it, but whatever...

In my project 'Ad Absurdum', I have flying workers who collect gold at "trade portals" at the edges of the map.

Now, whenerver these workers have to fly over a river, they "hesitate" for several seconds.

Any idea how that can be? After all, their movement type is "flying". Maybe "flying" isn't compatible with mining ressources?

thanks everyone for your interest!

The problem is this: whenever there is a body of water between the trade portal (really just a modified goldmine) and the townhall, on their way back the flying workers pause for several seconds before flying over the water, as if they were scared and needed to convince themselves it was really save to pass over it with their cargo. Or they fly up and down along the side of the river as if they were trying to figure out the safest way and after a while they just pass the river at the exact spot where they refused to do so initially.

Note that there is no problem at all when you order them "manually". Then they obey you perfectly and don't do any weird stuff at any kind of obstacle. The crazy just starts when they're left on their own mining routine.

This wouldn't bother me as such but in these situations they are vulnerable to enemy fire and they take longer to bring the goods back home, so it sucks for the gameplay.

Below you find the heavly reduced protomap for those who'd like to check.
