What's going on with WC3campaigns.net?

Huh. I can see the pagination & the many posts. All the threads I was messing around with (my own, to fix all the long-broken Signature links I have here) all stop at 15, including this one or this one which I know went on for many, many pages, lol. Even just scrolling down the page of most forums, in the "Replies" column, I never see it go higher than 14/15 (I could not find that Diablo thread, though, to compare).
//EDIT// Ok I finally found that Diablo thread you linked organically in the subforum... and yeah wow it shows "330 Replies". Literally everything else on that page (pg82) is capped at 14 though, as I'm seeing everywhere else. That Diablo one is the first one I've seen to not be capped. 🤔
Fwiw, page 2 of your custom races thread is available on the Wayback Machine. I couldn't find past that, though.

I also couldn't find that 3rd hero contest archived on the Wayback Machine at all.

EDIT: jk, the altar thread is archived if you use the old domain name Hero Contest #3 - Altar Series - Wc3campaigns

Btw, it seems all wc3c links on Hive now go to the Hive archive, so you have to change them a little if you want to look them up on the Wayback Machine, e.g.:
http://wc3campaigns.net/showthread.php?t=103421

I think it's generally safer to search using http://wc3campaigns.net, b/c it seems to redirect to www.wc3c.net if the page isn't found, but not vice versa.

In case you want to compare what's available in each of the archives, for a quick reference of the direct wc3c links that used to be in your signature (if you lost them), you can look here

Where do we have an "official" link on the HIVE page or somewhere in a pinned thread's opening post?
Maybe, I sent a link to Tim., perhaps if we doesn't tell me to tear it off, I will make a more official link :)

Wow, ty for this.
Its interesting that some of these resources belong to people who are on Hive, yet for some reason they havent shared them here.
Sometimes they're a product of their time. Like, maybe it's fine that they exist with the date 2017 but do you want to repost it as 2026 unless letting it undergo the changes you think they need to be representative of your current way of being? I dunno, maybe too philosophical.

Hello all, as a WC3Campaigns veteran and returning Hive user (my old account uses an email I no longer have access to), we were using that site because it was the only thing around at the time. Hive came after WC3Campaigns, I don't think we had any bias of any sort for using one of the other. Majority of people active on WC3C, I would assume, got busy in life and have not returned to the community. I probably won't make any more skins going forward but may redo my previously made ones.

Ooh thanks for all this. I'll definitely be using the Wayback Machine links where they have grabbed more info than the Hive version.

Heyyo old-head! Welcome back to the land of the living. ; )

I think there a number of reasons why people put things on Wc3C & not on the Hive... and while I was only there for the last few years of Wc3C, I do feel like many times there was a sense of bias for Wc3C over Wc3Search the Hive, lol. Wc3C was a wonderful place but it definitely had it's share of elitism, and there were a number of artists making things exclusively for Wc3C.

Of course, that's now ancient history. And we have to decide as a community how to weigh "respecting author's (potential) preferences" against "enriching the community". I won't be the one to make that decision, but I definitely would love to see those old Wc3C classics kept alive on the Hive (rather than lost to the sands of time).

I don't disagree with this idea, the Hive back when WC3C was still active was a bit messy. I was a skin mod back then and while I appreciated the artistic output there was a LOT of skins that were not...that great to be honest. But I tried back then to help out and give tips as best as I could to not stifle anyone's creativity.

Too philosophical) Btw, is it possible to upload some of these resources to Hive on behalf of their authors? Many of them haven't been online for a long time, and some were last seen around a year ago. In any case, they're already publicly available.

Some of these authors have refused to have their resources released at Hive due to one reason or another in the past

Not wanting this to turn into a debate, but I'm just pointing this out
