Follow the rise of a poor pathetic lonely Rohhirim warrior, and a Ranger of Ihtilien... like 2 seperate storylines... Number 3 but with 2 people (Cas u cant really have a rohirim defending MT )
I still say you should have it as normal soldiers, but one being a Rohhirim Guy which advances through ranks
(he can start of as a footmen then after Helms Deep becomes a knight at lvl 1 with new spells n shit but is emant to be the same guy)
OR
At that stage it can skip straight to the Ranger and you can play up tillt he pellenor fields as the ranger. After defending Minas Tirith you get the RoR and have to cleanse the pelli Fields...
Then for the last level you can control Either (User choice...or Yours ...meh) or even both...
It covers the whole story but makes it more intimate over controlling loads of heros....
Shouldnt be a 100% rpg thing though.. Some levels he should have a liuttle base or something...
Ok well what I was thinking is if we did chose the soldiers one, then rather then just having the war in the south part of middle earth I could also focus on the north part with all the elves and dwarves.
I never said that its only 1 char. You have the char that would be in the battle. For example for Minas Tirith you would be a Gondor Soldier. For some Mordor Orcs attacking a dwarven/Dale town then you would be a dwarf.
