Lol there's nothing to not understand here! Stratovarius wins through seniority, musicianship and awesomeness.

Sonata Arctica is a good band but every album sounds the same. It's like the poppier version of Stratovarius. Simply put, Sonata Arctica appeals to a more romantic and pop audience. Stratovarius appeals to a musician-driven audience.

I could be wrong though, so don't quote me. I was into Stratovarius before everything else.
