Jass New Gen Pack or JNGP has more interesting features than the original WE or World Editor

Jass New Gen Pack lets you have 16 tiles added into your map instead of 12-13 that the original WE only lets you to use. It also features more programming or coding language like GUI, JASS, vJASS and more... rather than the original WE which is just GUI and JASS only as far as I know. It removes the 20,000 doodad limit in the original WE. Now you can create a really big map without limitations in doodads/destructible used. It also has extensions which WE does not have, some systems such as UMSWE in it, automatic colorizer system which lets you easily color texts without going to the internet and knowing what's the code for that color or such, has JASS Helper for those that are willing to learn JASS Langauge and such, Multiplayer Emulation which lets you open multiple Warcraft 3 for you to test games or maps in JNGP that is multiplayer and more....

Note, some other features are only in the latest JNGP 2.0 which is made by moyackx which can be found here: JNGP 2.0 Beta - You could just read here the other great features of the JNGP and its latest one which is the version 2.0 as I've said.

Do not be deceived by the BETA text in it. It works perfectly fine even even in that state.

Its not the same. The 5d is the "normal" JNGP everyone uses, the 2.0 is a newer "inofficial" one.
Unless you know exactly what you are doing you should just use 5d since it should be more stable.

how is it not official? Also, its better, because it removed useless RtC, which caused Antiviruses to pop trojans and shit in JNGP, making it less "virus-free" in eyes of newbies

apart from that, Hell_Master pretty much summed it up(with one incorrect thing, which is just a number anyways)

there is no fundamental difference between v5d and 2.0

Map made with v5d will work in 2.0, and vice versa

2.0 only removed some useless things and added some things(dual JassHelper, Multiplayer emulation, custom menu loader), but the fundamental things(all the things that Hell_Master named, except multiplayer emulation) will be provided in both versions

Does the map run properly when you test it out of the editor?

About the path: both length of filename and number of subfolders are important. Try naming it "bla.w3x" and putting it directly in "~/Warcraft 3/Maps/bla.w3x"
