What are HITS?

But the word "Hit" is used on the internet often, to show the amount of "Hits", click on some hyperlink. Anyway it doesn't really matter.

lol , i thought something was weird since the maps "downloads" is less then its HITS.

Well it is logical to be the number of click, what else would it be? It is a bigger number so :D
