My initial thought was "it seems awfully flat", and while I understand why it's that flat,
given half or more than half of the foreground is concrete, I don't know if I think its a
very good idea. I feel like you could have been a little more creative about it, like, for
instance, having it on top of a desert mountain or something where the gaps between
the concrete parts go straight down.
Another point I feel is missing is the center of focus, there seems to be no mounted
centerpiece in this terrain, which sort of takes away from the overall story, sort of
makes me think "what's the point?" - It's just a plane strip with some jet planes on
it.
But other than that, I like it, the doodad composition is on point, I absolutely love the
way you do the lighting for artificial lights and although a little bland, the atmosphere
is properly gloomy and adds to the overall feeling of resignation that the terrain is
telling. That's what I get from it, anyway, a sort of feeling of "no hope" as the big
ships in the distance close in to bomb the shit out of this air base.
Jood Gob, mate, it's nice to see that you'll still do a terrain from time to time ^^
