Weird Map

I am a huge fan of Melee Maps, so I got interested about it if it's still alive.
Based on my research about melee maps, I found out that melee maps, if not dying, are dead. So I want to create a map that still supports Melee category.

Also, many gamers like Hero Defense types of game. So I have an idea of creating a map that fits on both Hero Defense and Melee category.

What do you think guys? Will it be interesting or too weird?

There are a lot of altered melee maps/mods around the Hive. Those do not fit the Blizzard categorization but are related. So what do you search for? Maps, mapmaking, modding, or do you simply ask if there are still melee players?

Melees are pvp, Hero Defenses are mostly pve, so I am sceptical to mix them. You have not given any further information about your ideas though.
