this is too bad you need to teach them how to do this
its too simple actually just open the model with war3 model editor
open model editor window
Select all vertex's of units weapon
Transormations - Scale - x to 0, y to 0, z to 0
done

weponless and hornless "Onheaded ogre" (known as stonemaul ogre in editor)
weponless "onheaded ogre chieftan" (aka stonemaul cheiftan)
weponless ogre magi
weponless twoheaded ogre

and a weponless version of the attached ogre magi by DvO
