WE(U) Question - Removing Custom Values

I've got a map that i've used for another purpose, and it's loaded with triggers, custom units, custom doodads, etc.

I've tried copy-pasting the terrain onto a fresh map, but the terrain isn't exactly perfect afterwards, and I end up with a blended mess.

Anyone have any idea?

[Edit: I'm trying to remove _all_ of the custom values. ]

Can you show screenshots of the before and after terrain so we can see? Who knows, maybe you forgot to copy the doodad layer.

I don't understand why do you "copy paste your terrain". Why don't you just delete all the custom stuff? Why don't you delete all triggers, custom units and imported stuff?

On a sidenote: Custom value is a different thing from what you are talking about.

Emperor, I wanted to delete all the custom stuff so it doesn't lag the editor if I add/delete one, and I don't know how.
Secondly, My mistake, feel free to call me an idiot.

Parrothead, there's no doodads, I made sure of it.

And by 'Blended mess' I mean that the tileset it's made on is custom, then when I delete one to replace it, it changes to dirt and it smears them together.

Nope, I wasn't going to call you an idiot :)

And about that blended mess, I don't know what are you talking about, but when you delete a custom unit / terrain there is going to be some.. shadow or well I would call it "blended mess" in its place, but after you save and launch the game it isn't there.
Was the "blended mess" present ingame or only in the editor?

By the way, there are ways to dramatically reduce the editor lag, there should be a thread about it somewhere. Go to the "Window" menu and disable "Brush List". Or crt+alt+del and set world editor's priority to highest, for examples.

Okay, let me see if I can restate the question.

I want to strip the file down to the Terrain, that's it.
I don't want any of the previous custom-made doodads/units/etc. that were applicable. More importantly, I want them deleted simultaneously.

Is there any way I can do this? Or am I
'Had paddle, but paddle ran down waterfall'?
