wc3sear.ch stuff

Hey. I have some models I downloaded from wc3sear.ch before the crash. I've seen things like "downloaded from wc3sear.ch" on info pages. Could I upload these models, or send them to an admin to upload?

Wait...why would you want to upload them here? Unless they are lost resource, they are acceptable in function and quality/go with the rules and you have the authors permission and name then you may.

When you guys tried to transfer all the content from wc3sear did you always ask for the authors permission? I too got a shitload of lost resources.

Well the thing is that we don't know who the author is if you upload it, and you should not be displayed as the author, that would be theft.

Not really; if he uploads it then you could always give it to the public resource provider, gibbon that he states the resources aren't his.

Also, lots of old resources on wc3sear.ch wouldn't be allowed here. There were quite a few wow rips on wc3sear.ch, for example.

Well, if the models are good; I see no reason not to add them.

then just dont upload the wow ripped ones.
just state the author of the model is unknown, and if anyone knows, just post there or contact the admin.

Most of the models are already here.

Some which are "missing" may infact be ignored already.

So all in all it is probably not recomended to upload them.
