So, for those of you not in the know, every year for the past 59 years, Warren Miller has made a movie composed of shots of the most extreme skiing and snowboarding in the world. He puts them out around Christmas or so. So I was just rewatching last years, Warren Miller's Playground, so I thought I would make this thread.

They're basically amazing. He goes all over the world to shoot both pros, amateurs coming up, and celebrities. From Tokyo, the British Columbia, to Utah, Alaska, everywhere. If there's snow and a scene, he probably has footage from there.

And it's amazing because:
1) You get to see the most amazing skiers and snowboarders do the crazy shit they do best
2) It's all accompanied by a killer soundtrack of the year's best mainstream and indie tunes.

It's not all just skiing and snowboarding. He covers a lot of the regular life of locals, hunting, snowmobiling, BMXing, etc, as well as the professionals involved in supporting the professionals, what it's like to manage professional kid skiers, etc.

This year's movie is called Children of Winter. I'm not sure when it'll be out, probably around December. I can't wait!

That's right, I live in one of the worlds best snowboarding areas. : )
I'm pumped for the season, and I'll definitely start watching some of his movies.
