Hey guys,

Just wondering if i have any fellow WAAAAHG! fans in here. Pre-ordered the collectors edition and im anticipating a really good MMO. Heres the website http://www.warhammeronline.com/ and another one that usually has updates faster than the actual games website :p http://www.tentonhammer.com/war

Me and my buddies in RL are planning on making a guild during the first 2 weeks we get before official release so if anyone wants to join the guild twould be awesome to have fellow hive peoplez

I'm a Warhammer fan, owning a few Army Books and Codices from TT. I'm also looking forward to WAR, going to roll Destruction.

hmm well maybe when you play and see the specific characteristics for each race/career it might change your mind...for instance dwarven oathbreakers have a inherent ability called "momentum" that makes it so the longer your in battle the harder you start hitting.

Maybe, but the fighting just looks bad in the game. Something is wrong with it.

Age of Conan looks better imo. I'd like to try that.

lol @ AoC, prepare for massive lag, awkward space based gameplay, dissordered quests and missions, and huge amount of experience and building glitches. I ordered that, tried it for 2 weeks and gave up

Plus, WAR comes out in a month, they have a good company(Mythic) that has an established reputation in mmo's (unlike AoC's makers) and they have the economic giant of EA to back them up

Im intrested in Warhammer but I rather read a couple reviews and get people's pros and cons before I think about buying it.

But I want a mmo based in the Warhammer 40k, as it would be pretty bad ass to see that in action

That's too bad. I thought the game had some promise. Perhaps I'll try a demo or find someone who owns it.

I still don't like the look of WAR at all. The fighting just looks bad to me. The spells look pretty cool though, and there are some cool ideas and classes.

4 new videos showing more polished graphics and animations:

Anyways, the game is still in Closed BETA so the graphics still ain't final. I would expect them to be even better towards release and they're most likely going to work even more on lighting effects.

Games can also go down towards final. Although once in Beta you wouldn't think they would.

While it is possible I highly doubt it since Mythic seems to be hellbent on polishing the game as much as they can before releasing it.

I thought warhammer online looked really sweet. I am HUGE fan of the dawn of war games. But I am thuroughly against pay 2 play and therefore I would never purchase it. I play age of conan at a friends house all the time. it MAJORLY sucks balls. One of the worst games of ever played mmo or not. Horrendously tiresome combat in which every fight seems exactly the same as well as almost no diversity between the pathetic choice of 3 races. Quests that are out of order or just downright stupid. GIANT masses of glitches, especially when it comes to exp and harvesting of materials. It is just overall a terrible game that isnt even worth talking about. Not to mention pay 2 play, which is the devil and also stupid as hell. I cant wait for Guild Wars 2 to come out :D

Paying to play isnt stupid, WoW had so much work put into it, it shouldnt be free to play, the other blizzard games, sure, but not wow, thats bad business, plus wow wouldnt be as good. This could be almost the same concept of warhammer online, but i wont try it until i look at the reviews

Wombat, you do realize that it is perfectly reasonable to have pay to play. You might not realize it, but that money goes to keeping the servers online and also keeping the game alive. Mostly to actually pay for the servers. Guild Wars gets away with this due to it's highly instanced world.

Also Guild Wars is only good for it's PvP.
