Warhammer 40k RTS

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
In this warhammer map you will be able to choose among 5 races.
-The ingame instructions come up ingame.
-Capture Flags to get more income. V.6.4
-By Spoofone & TYRANID. Enjoy :)
Hehe got it optimized now :) And it is now protected.
Tyranid Warriors and Hive Tyrants now have Sinapsis.
All that we know of reserches work.
Got all the icons that are out there at the moment. Still looking for more.

As for the imported models, this map needs them. Warcraft 3 units don't suite the Warhammer 40.000 K theme at all, they are not futuristic at all.

And like Tau Empire said, add a changelog.

We could always wait for Starcraft 2 but that would be in a year or two before it releases... the only import I would probably put in it are bullets and shells, and the models that doesn't even closely resemble like a warcraft one.

Ok I tried this updated version of it there are still problems, I've only tried Necrons

Terrain: Still the same, but that ain't much of a problem anymore

Abilities: Taking it is easy, holding it will be hard why not just rename it capture point?

Spelling Grammar: You spelled Requisition wrong

Units: The major problem with this, a Super Monolith.... they couldn't start with a offline monolith... then upgrade to a full operational monolith. There are only 5 units in the Necron race plus you can build infinite Necron Lords instead of one. If you were doing a Apocalypse game I understand but still... I have notice there are no Space Marines unless the Imperium are space marines?

Suggestions: The loading screen is a bit messed up sorry but the words are all scrambled and need to be in paragraphs instead of one giant paragraph. Put up a board to select your race instead of typing -choose (race) to make it professional if you know what I mean. 4 MB file size, probably could be reduced I mean Necron Warriors can be skeleton soliders if you wanted.

why not make it like DoW II and have like 1 hq building where you can train units, and make the game focus more around invdividual units/squads rather than having entire techtrees.

I have never played any of the DOW's but tyranid has so if tyranid does his part in this, questions like that should be answered by tyranid.

I think squads are kind of a good idea but i have no idea what the triggers are to do that so unless someone can update me on that....it aint happening.

DoW 2 sucks, I say you should add MORE buildings and get proper tech trees going.

Your a genius lol, ya a Tech tree is needed for this map cause honestly there isn't a tech tree to begin with.

You don't need to add buildings like in DoW but you can invent a couple of buildings, like for example: Tyranid buildings can be Brood Nest, Genestealers cave or something like that.

Well let's see... new units, a better techtree, new buildings, try reducing the map size if your not gonna use the ocean, maybe new races, and no you don't need imports to make a good game seriously it's Gameplay people want not graphics.

I added more techtrees and some new buildings and the map is as small as it can get.

I suggest squishing the models (google Wc3 Model Squisher) and optimizing the map (If you haven't already)

I would optimize the map but the programs dont work with vista :(((((

I like it but maybe you could add an AI for computers for more challenge and you could use pyramidhead and all other modeler's warhammer models for the races with no heros and you could add a few more units and tower defenses

Whenever i host the map and this was when there was no heros they were like this sucks theres no heros so im not removing the heros. but i could try to add more towers if i could optimize the map :))

Wrong, I have vista and it works fine for me.

ok the model squsher works i think but how do u squish the map????????

no i dled the 1.00 off of google :) and i think it works but on the import manager it says that it takes up the same space so im confused about that. I updated the map so it is suposidly optimized so you can take a look if you want.

I tried the 4.00 one and i have no idea how it works.

Wow fail? there is credits the credits were on the loading screen and i just put them on the map details so there are no confusions witch you apparently had,there are no more icons atm i have put in all that i know exist on hive...i said that in earlier posts. I wasnt completely going off the WH40k rules and the map still isnt completely done. Pretty much everything you said was wrong i have said why in earlier posts or i have already put in the map.

Look, this map is still not nearly good enough to be approved...
You must fix EVERY tooltip and icon, as well as the fail techtrees, which allow stronger units to be built initially, and make weaker ones require researches.

alright guys im gonna try it out.. constructive criticism may be incoming but ill let u know what i think.

ok i tryed out 3 different races ill give you my suggestions for each one that i tried. (keep in mind im not familiar with the WH40k universe and how certain things work) the races have nice models but if the game play doesnt match up then =*(

Necron
these guys seem cool but there seemed to be a number of bugs
bugs/problems
-There is no info option at the begining for the necron
-The main building can move like a unit that needs to be fixed
-The main building had a load units command why is that here?
-The main building had soooo much stuff in it i couldnt upgrade it to the final stage (fully upgraded monolith)
-Various tool tips errors all over, could use more information and explanation on what certain units do
-u did not have to research the "back again" skill on all units that needs to be fixed...
-lack of unit diversity (about 5~7 units total) work on this tech tree
-Tyranids share the reincarnation trait try to make the races unique in these abilities

Tyranid
not alot of problems out of these guys they seem to be more developed on the tech tree side,
bugs/problems
cant remember much on these guys there were some small things but just work on tool tips, information about stuff
-still needs some work tho.

Chaos Marines
these guys are intresting but once again need research to get certain units
bugs/problems
once again a more developed race but some things i didnt like.
-the defiler's cannon is not up to par ( targeted a group of my own marines and not much happened) could add a knock back if you wanted
-more information and tool tips of course
-the different marines all seemed the same other then a few projectiles
-certain units didnt seem to be any better then the weaker versions (i.e. heavy bolter/heavy plasma ect.)
-they did have a hero infact 2 there was a daemon hero and the raptor unit.




OVERALL

this game has potential but compared to another altered melee that ran very well this needs work.
suggestions
-add some more terraint to the map the triangle is cool bt there is so much water
-possibly add a navy?
-there simply arent enough buildings, uve cut down the techtree type gameplay heavily here since you only upgrade your main building so many times and all of your upgrades and new/best units are located in the main buildings.
-this is an altered melee but it doesnt give much strategy trying to build 3 buildings.

i hope this helps a bit but i cant possibly go into detail on every little thing i see just keep working on it guys. nice models but

yeah i wouldnt add anymore units for now id fix the icons an tool tips first, then go onto balancing the current units you have on the game (adding more units will only make this process take longer.)

main things would be certain abilities need more creative names,
the flag conquer thing needs to be renamed to "take flag" or something like that.

if you can manage to fix all that and add the units in one patch thats possible but you honestly need to fix whats there before you add new content.

No, just no...we are doing this over a long period of time. We are going to release a patch with all this added, we are first going to fix all the tooltips, icons and info. Then the other stuff...The release date is still TBD.
