Warcraft III Restored Content mod?

I've seen a lot of videos, screenshots, game resources etc. from early game versions, is there some mod project that actually restored some features from original concepts that were meant to be used in the game? I don't mean the actual beta game, I already found it, but I mean the expansion for the final game, not necessary replacing game content, but more like adding it.
