Sir Lothar, in charge of the scattered armies of Azeroth since the death of King Llane, has led his people across the Great Sea to the shores of Lordaeron. By enlisting the armies of Lordaeron, and making new allies in the Elves and Dwarves, a mighty force known as the Alliance has been forged. Now, united in arms with new allies against a common foe, Mankind stands at the shores of destiny and awaits the coming
of the Tides of Darkness.

Project Description

Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness is a project planned to be a campaign concerning the events of the Second War from the Alliance's perspective. The campaign will consist of 14 maps, most of which will be based on those featured in the original Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness game.

The purpose of the project is to reconstruct the stated events primarily by reproducing them in Warcraft III engine and with number of conceptual modifications in order to intensify impressions and promote experience from the Second War. To this end, the project intends to include Hero units and other conceptual and situational modifications (terrain, doodad, unit and other possible qualitative and quantitative changes), particularly: changes in terrain height levels, accessibility and appearance and modifications in framework and functioning of allied and enemy battlements, infrastructure and tactics in order to better correspond realistic strategic management.

Persons required

Under current conditions, persons specialized and proficient in the following fields are being looked for:
  • terraining,
  • object management,
  • triggering,
  • artificial inteligence,
  • modeling.

Project Condition

Currently, almost all chapters are conceptually prepared.
