Warcraft 3 Doodad Merger

Submitted by Zeatherann
This bundle is marked as approved. It works and satisfies the submission rules.

The Warcraft 3 Doodad Merger allows you to combine the doodads and destructables from several war3map.doo files into one file. This allows you to place multiple doodads and destructables on the exact same coordinate. This also can be used to bypass the limits on the number of doodads and destructables. Lastly, it renumbers the doodads and destructables to fill in any gaps in the id number for each doodad and destructible should holes be found.

This program has no interface and is used by dragging and dropping your selection of doodad files onto the program, which will output a war3map.doo file for importing into your map. This tool is designed to work with Warcraft III - The Frozen Throne v1.26.0.6401.

Happy merging.

It is a command line application that requires (.doo) files to work with. You can either invoke it from the command line passing in the file paths of multiple (.doo) files, or from the explorer window drag and drop several (.doo) files onto this program. It will automatically merge them into a new file with the name "war3map.doo" so make sure the files you want to merge are not called that.

A more specific review would be helpful. For example, "Seems to work OK." implies mediocrity or that it works but rather inconveniently. Perhaps a little more detail on what is good and what is not would be nice :)

Hello Mc, I'm not exactly sure what you are doing, but you can export the doodads files in the editor under the file in OE, or export the .doo file using a mpq editor.

To clarify some things, to make these new doodads appear, you will also need their object data which is the war3map.w3d file. the d file from the original map and the other map must be combined if you wish to keep your map's doodads in tact. The only tools that i recall capable of doing this in a quick and efficient manner is JNGP or GMSI.
