A dark shadow looms over the world of video games. It's up to your favorite game characters to team up and find out what evil plagues their worlds.

Fixed a camera error on the Northern Crater
Fixed Nova Strike and Charge Shot having the same spell base
Mario & Luigi both have had major changes done to them.
Pikachu's Agility Bonus is now boosted by the Light Ball.
Nerfed the damage on Samus' Speed Booster
Lowered the damage dealt by the Virus Wave for Sigma
Remade the effects of the Crazy Soul and Angry Sword, fixing a certain exploit with Master Chief

When the Game ends, it will show the Scores now.
Megaman's Capsule no longer bugs if you get a Capsule after one you were supposed to get beforehand. You are now required to get Capsules in an orderly fashion.
Vile's Ride Armor form no longer bugs when he uses Hydraulic Punch.
Bizarro Sephiroth no longer spams an instant-kill move that is the result of a glitch occurring when he's below a certain life percentage.
Ganondorf has been buffed slightly
Some Skulltulas' Locations have changed
Stone of Agony does what it say it does
Skulltula Prize set at 60 changed slightly
Lasers now fire when the Fortress explodes.
Samus's Gravity Suit no longer provides Spell Immunity.

Goku's Super Saiyan form is now triggered and no longer wastes an item slot. In addition, his Saiyan Forms increase his stats by a percentage, rather than a static value
Goku's Transformation spell can now be used multiple times to shift forms instead of always jumping to his highest form. His forms will have energy usage based on the ability level, with some forms having no energy usage by max level. In addition, he can use Revert to downshift through forms
Goku's hotkeys have been changed to their former values
Velguarder cannot glitch out anymore
Nerfed Vile's laser attack and slightly reduced duration of his fire trail. In his 3rd phase, he will dash less frequently

After you get all the capsule parts (Head, body, Buster 1 and 2, and legs) Go back to the forest, make sure you buy a Sentry Ward from the shop near the first portal. Now go to that hidden Capsule. You'll lose all of the armor parts and then use the ward to reveal the secret capsule that'll make all the parts compressed into one or two items, as well as allow you to use the Hadouken.

and both buster upgrades

...at least those buster upgrades could have fused into 1 too

Ah yes, back few versions back the first buster upgrade had a skill with it so I had to make it a separate item, now that I solved that problem I'll need to make it three items again. Thank you for mentioning it, I would have forgotten for some time.

This is on my hosted game everday list and since i use LC no one knows who i am but check this long list of issues IDK if u know the MCs pistol move is like a 1 hit nuke that does more damage in general this his rocket launcher idk if thats how its suppose to be, another issues theres a few heros that just....dont do shit...kinda useless really for instance kirby really never picked really dont do much Earthworm is kinda op in the terms of right items stacked calm sword + o sword + s sword = GG anything hard and under since even in hard...shit is still to easy. Moreso the in town shops are pretty trash considering they have lil to nothing bsides the ulimate sword to contend with the items dropped off bosses and then u got the issue of healing items those seem pretty useless now that u have constand respawn need to either place a reward for beating the game on hard/extreme with no deaths besides the ugly worm >_> or do not allow constand respawn in hard or extreme anyway theres more pity things but its not that improtant later

for the next time...please dont write everything in grouped style and learn how to "pack" this kinds of "much information" into more than 2 sentences

Okay, just tried out your map, and I just figured I'd come back and throw up my 2 cents on it.

I played as Zero, who had a few interesting skills, but I felt could use a little work. For instance, his pistol shot has no cooldown, but it takes a couple seconds to fire, which makes it a bit annoying to use, especially when most enemies die before I get a chance to use it. If you could remove that cast time, it'd be nicer. You could even put on a small cooldown (4 seconds or so) on it to balance against that.

Also, tooltips could use a lot of work. The charge-up attack that Zero has doesn't even show the level on it, and the flame uppercut doesn't show damage. I'd suggest setting up the tooltips to show damage, duration (where applicable), cooldown, and any other details that the caster may want to know about the ability they're using.

Skill levels are a bit low for a 100-level cap, in my opinion. Once you hit level 50, the only skill left to level is your ultimate, which only happens every 20 levels. Kinda makes the leveling get a bit boring. Also, in about a 2/3rds full game, we reached max level far before the end boss, which makes things less fun.

To fix this, I would suggest lowering the experience gained and bringing in a stat bonus skill (Maybe +2 to all stats, or a seperate skill for each stat to allow customization. Just make them spellbooks with the passive stat bonus inside and give them the same order id so it stacks one icon for all three). This would steady the leveling, and give people an alternative to certain skills they may not be interested in.

Also, I would suggest making tomes available. Gold seems quite useless in this game after a certain point. That, coupled with hitting max level too soon makes fighting enemies seem pointless because the only way to get stronger is the special drops. Having tomes available will give people something to spend their money on once they have a full inventory of items.

Also, instead of having some of the hero-specific items (like plumber gloves for luigi/mario) you could have that item be a powerup which gives a passive skill to the hero. You could easily put that into the same spellbook that stat bonuses are in. This way, some of the weaker character-specific items can still be useful, later on, since you won't have to devote an inventory slot to them.

Respawning is a bit of a frustration, especially for players which slow-moving heroes. A way to fix this could be to set units/buildings at the beginning of the various quest areas that become the hero's spawn point when touched could resolve this. A short (15 - 30 second) respawn timer could still deter players from being reckless in battle without being quite so frustrating. If you do decide to use this method, I would advise a location variable array with a value for each player that moves to the new spawnpoint and deletes the previous location to avoid ram leak.

Some of the heroes do seem a bit unbalanced. I noticed through most of the game, the player who was using Magnus, or Magus (People seemed to refer to him as both, during the game, so I'm not quite sure what his name is supposed to be) was pretty much the best character in the game, combat-wise. Even without getting very many items, he devastated everything we ran into with the geyser and lightning spells. While he was obviously less resilient than some of the heroes, he did still seem a bit over-powered.

You might also want to think of balancing out how many items drop for each hero. The player who was using Luigi felt rather left out because so many items were dropping for other characters, and so few for him. While he was strong enough to not be at a major disadvantage, it seemed like it was kinda making things a little more boring for him. Perhaps you could set it up so that all the bosses drop at least one item for every hero. Using the powerup method to grant passive skills to the heroes could provide a way to make this a strong balancing factor in the game without bombarding the heroes with too many (or too strong) items.

Although this would require quite a bit of revamping to the game's system, stat-based skills would most likely improve this map a great deal. For instance, having zero's attacks actually be based off his actual damage, or perhaps agility, could make things a bit more interesting than having them deal a set amount of damage. Or perhaps having Magus's spells deal damage that is based on his intelligence. Many popular maps use a system like this, and I believe your map could benefit greatly from it, though, it would probably require a great deal of work on your part to implement it for all the heroes.

So, with all of that said, I'd just like to say you have a good map with a lot of potential. I love the fact that it is an rpg, but doesn't play out as slowly as most rpg's on wc3. I do apologize if my post has been a bit much for you to read, but I would really like to see what this map can become, and I'm willing to pour out as many ideas as I can to help it do so.

EDIT: Hm...guess that came out to a bit more than 2 cents. XD

EDIT AGAIN: Oh! One other thing I was going to mention with the powerup items giving skills is you could use that to give characters active skills based on those items, and put them in the spellbook where stat bonus and the item passives are. For instance, you could have masterchief aquire a skill to switch to any of the gun's he's aquired thus far and give cloud multiple swords that he pull out and switch between (similar to in Advent Children, though I wouldn't know what the differences are between the swords, if any.) Could just enhance the experience with some of the characters. Perhaps even give link the ability to switch between child and adult forms with the master sword or something like that.

Eh...it's not really bad reading habits, it's just courteous to break apart your posts to make them easier to read. Some people won't even read your post if it's all in one huge block of text, so it's actually beneficial to the reader and yourself if you organize what you're saying a little better.

Sorry if I sound like I'm attacking the way you post or anything like that. I'm not trying to attack, just give a bit of friendly advice. :)

Now like i was saying ur probabley better off without the music since most ppl can find a source for there own music while playing ur map and it gets kinda bothersome after u play the map once. not saying u should fix it because i asked but just letting u know what ppl whine to me about lol

True music can tend to be useless, but it's pretty much to give it more of a video game feel. Changes will be made, but I'll try to keep them from being public yet. Mainly due to the fact I have a big mouth.

But hey, it's starting to take shape, compare it to how it used to be it's been quite a ride.

As Kingultra said, Elven_Rage quit making it a long time ago, he came back and gave me few ideas and pointers few months ago but I haven't heard from him since.

LoneSlayer is almost the exact same in situation, expect he couldn't find a working WarCraft 3. Otherwise he said might have joined us in making it, always a possibility he may come back though.

Now moving onto characters, it's up in the air right now, space issues mainly, but so far Sora is far from ever being made, at least in these versions.

Nonono, removing the music will ruin the game, yes usually i find some music at the net and lisen to that.... BUT when i play Vrpg i lisen to the music there, it makes me get a more game feeling xD

also u can turn the music/sfx off with ctrl+m/ctrl+s so tell those ppl to stfu

I'll give it few more weeks, if the votes for removing the music don't get higher than the votes for keeping the music then I'll end it at that.

Now for the Bee/Navi problem. Well I can understand the Bee part fits, I'll just make it so Navi (Maybe Bee) not be able to enter the area around it.

great map

I've been playing this map for a along time and i love it but one of the biggest prblems i have r the hotkeys ever sence like the first ver. theres always been hotkeys thats the same as other skills or Hold position or Stop

i played as samus and i want to ponit out a few things her charge beam like attack (cant remmber what it's called) but anyway it just charges and doesn't shoot there for it does no dmg. Also if u save the game when playing as samus and laod it back up she will no longer have the dmg bonus (the trueshot arua form the weapons)

Interesting... I'll tell Sean about the Samus problem.

I already have my way of making Link better. It'll be a simple remake of all his items.

But we're focusing on making the map overall better now.

Just thought I'd post some ideas of what I want to see in the next versions of the map. For now, the goal is mostly to update and replace all the old content to be more consistent with the level of quality seen in our more recent updates to the map. Basically this means:
  • New Storyline
  • New Cutscenes
  • New Dialogue
  • Improved Terrain
  • New Boss Fights
  • New Level Designin
  • Replacing All Old Quests, and Adding in More Sidequests
  • Removing the Deku Tree and Replacing it with Several New Levels
  • More Interactive and Engaging Combat
  • Replacing and Rebalancing Old Characters
  • New Training Grounds and Updated Training System
  • Bug Fixes
This also means there probably won't be any new characters or features for the next couple updates at least. Until I feel that the game is enjoyable to most WC3 RPG players, veterans and newbies, I think work should be focused on improving the gameplay (how fun it is), rather than add-ons. After it reaches that level, we'll have a new standard for improvements to the map, meaning the map will finally have an acceptable standard for everything in the map.

Currently, I've been working on new gameplay aspects for Sigma's fortress. I haven't implemented new terrain yet, but everything should work. One idea I've started thinking about was to add enemies with specific functions into the mix. Each level already has unique enemies, but if they were specialized, it would add another memorable element to the levels.

For instance, perhaps Sigma's fortress would be known for having robots that would charge recklessly and blow themselves up, or robots that could heal other robots, or even robots that would collect the scraps of destroyed robots and "consume" them to make themselves stronger.

In Halo, jackals would have powerful, slow sniper rifles and would have a small shield in front of them that can be broken, but they are vulnerable from behind. Some elites would be invisible and capable of dealing massive crits from stealth. Hunters would have 90% damage reduction from all sides except their back. Flood infection form units could resurrect any corpse as a flood unit, at the cost of its own life.

I haven't decided on how the FF7 enemies could be unique yet, but Tats had the idea that you would fight them as random encounters while wandering the crater. This level needs a little more work, so I'll get back to it later.

These are just some basic, rough ideas; I posted some in another thread a while back, although I forget which.

I found a glitch in 1.9c where the megaman, after collecting all pieces, of his gear except the very last one in the forest. I went to get the last item by the sun key spot. and then all items dissappeared except the upgrade buster, and the changing gun for him. I got no replacement item either.

Well I've been a huge fan of this map since almost the start, and even a fan of all your updates, but I have a few concerns that are affecting how fun this game is.

The first is how unbalanced characters start, can get, and always are.

it seems that whenever you add a new character they are way better than everyone else. I understand that because they are new you haven't had time to nerf them, but isn't that what beta testing is for?

Is there a map that is balanced, just lacking in some of the newer features? DotA has a 'stable map' which is mostly bug-free and very balanced, as well as a 'newest version' which can have some bugs and some new unbalanced characters/time

Second, the game is pretty long, but the abilities run out at like what.. level 50? I could be not even close to the end of the game and get bored knowing there is nothing for me to move on to but the same enemies stats.

(While writing the previous paragraph I thought of an idea that I hope you would consider.
Do you think you could add little puzzles in the Zelda level? Puzzles are a very important part of all Zelda games.)

The next few ideas I have been thinking of for a long time, I hope you can either use it or find problems with it and improve it.

Do you think you could weaken the heroes, strengthen the enemies, lower the amount of enemies that spawn, raise the spawn time, and raise the exp/gold they give? After a while it seems its just like you're sending waves of enemies at us for no reason. The only heroes that can do well in these situations are the ones with abilities to damage/kill several enemies at the same time, which leaves many heroes useless during these situations and only useful for boss battles.

Another idea I had is instead of training being sold by time, could it be changed to rate of exp? for example if you were to buy the most expensive one it could give 3 times the xp per kill instead of the normal 1 times the xp per kill? The game is long enough without a required 12 minute training session in which we stand in the middle doing nothing but kill enemies.

Again I would like to say i am sorry if any of these problems/idea have already been brought to your attention, there are currently 23 pages of comments/replys

To solve this, go to the first shop in the Mushroom Forest. Buy a Sentry Wards and use it on the area, it'll reveal it. The cause of it is that X loses his Vision over invisible units, I'll just take out the invisibility on that capsule.


Don't buy Gato unless your on Easy mode / Don't need to use the normal training.

I got a bug with Megaman X.I can get all his armor upgrades,except one,the one near the Sun Key.when I tell him to go there,when he's just past the sun key,he stops.if i click on the capsule again,he tries to go through the woods,but he can't as well.it's the only missing armor upgrade,and I really want to be able to get it.only problem I've found on this map so far.

its not a bug...u have to get all other upgrades first before u can have the last one

For few little teasers, we have started on removing the Deku Tree and wumpus also plans making the first level, the Maverick Fortress have few Megaman style additions, such as instant death spikes/lasers, enemies push you back if they hit you, and hopefully will change Sigma's battle completely.

Plus new characters will always tend to be better than older ones, thats why we update the map to make them weaker or just make the older heroes better. Alucard for example has had his mana growth dropped down a lot since his first release and his skills also have been toned down in few ways.

looks like Sigma's Fortress is gonna be awesome.That part of the map never gave me the feeling of the Megaman series,to be honest.

hey,I've been thinking,why don't you add someone from the Street Fighter series ??SF is pretty important,it would be interesting to see Ryu,M. Bison or someone else in this map...

of course,if you even consider doing this,it would not be on the next update,it's just an idea that came to me these days...

I got a bug: On the 2nd and last time I have to fight Sephiroth I decided to finish him of with Cloud's Braver. However, he died before that, Ganondorf talked, and Cloud was stuck frozen on the air.
