A dark shadow looms over the world of video games. It's up to your favorite game characters to team up and find out what evil plagues their worlds.

Play as various gaming icons such as Mario, Cloud, Link, Samus, Kirby, Master Chief, MegaMan X, and many more...!

Fixed Nova Strike and Charge Shot having the same spell base
Mario & Luigi both have had major changes done to them.

When the Game ends, it will show the Scores now.
Megaman's Capsule no longer bugs if you get a Capsule after one you were supposed to get beforehand. You are now required to get Capsules in an orderly fashion.
Vile's Ride Armor form no longer bugs when he uses Hydraulic Punch.
Bizarro Sephiroth no longer spams an instant-kill move that is the result of a glitch occurring when he's below a certain life percentage.

Some Skulltulas' Locations have changed
Stone of Agony does what it say it does

Lasers now fire when the Fortress explodes.

Nerfed Vile's laser attack and slightly reduced duration of his fire trail. In his 3rd phase, he will dash less frequently

I'd consider rebalancing a few heroes and especially the items. Knuckles gets Divine armor with the Super Knuckles ultimate, Pikachu is way imbalanced with agility items, and the items available for purchase are way too cheap (or creeps grant more gold than they should).
The terrain needs improvement too.
Not a bad map, and since it has no bugs and contains a good description (as well as a credit list), as well as 11 votes in favor of approval, I'll set it to Approved status!

The map is supposedly 'stolen', but I'd say it is excusable as this map author gives credit to the original makers. Thus, there really is no problem(s) with it.

I'd approve the map, however, in order for me to do so I must provide details of the in-game content of its goods and bads.

I find this map highly entertaining, a bit hard to solo though. The biggest problem I have with it is the secret of Sonic. Both Knuckles and Eggman (I perfer Dr. Robotnic personally, I grew up with that as his name.)) are available as palyable characters, but Sonic is secret and as far as I know rigged. I must ask what made you do this? It doesn't make much sense to make Sonic seem better then everyone else by making him secret, it seems unfair to the other game characters. If anything, a Warcraft 3 character should be a secret character, like Illidian or Arthas since this does use the Warcraft 3 engine. Ganon as the final boss seems questionable, I would have voted either for either E.T. for his crappy game or a Pong Bar as the final boss. Other then that, its a very good map and I've played it multpile times.

Well thank you for the post. Few things about it that seem wrong about your post is that you still say Sonic is a secret character, while yes he was for little bit, he's a completely playable character now normally. He's not the unbalanced due to the fact he can die really quickly.

The final boss part is because Ganondorf is the villain to the Legend of Zelda series, which is the hub world in the map. Makes him a fitting final boss.

I'm trying to keep the characters that were made before by LoneSlayer and Elven_Rage and have new ones that are from around the nes - n64 era of games. While Illidan and Arthas are cool in their own ways, they don't meet my requirements. Sorry if this shots your idea down but thats how I go by picking characters. Also I try to pick games that revolutionized gaming or did something to the industry. Like Mortal Kombat, and few other violent games caused the ESRB to be made, which is why Sub-Zero is a character.

With that said I do thank you praising what we have so far and that you liked it.

I made that post before I saw the new version, my bad. Understandable for the characters and what not. It did strike me odd Robotnik is playable, but it was recorrected when the Robotnik clone was put in. Goku also questioned it a bit since he does have quite a few games, but so do most fighting-styled animes. Since you have Eggman, any other villains you plan to make playable characters?

I made that post before I saw the new version, my bad. Understandable for the characters and what not. It did strike me odd Robotnik is playable, but it was recorrected when the Robotnik clone was put in. Goku also questioned it a bit since he does have quite a few games, but so do most fighting-styled animes. Since you have Eggman, any other villains you plan to make playable characters?

Possibly, I don't rule things out in the future. But first I must make sure to do few things before making a new character or two. First fix/balance/nerf any characters already in the game. Second finish the Ultimate Weapons for each character, depending on how good the character is will depend on how good the Weapon is.

I'll try to retain the characters Elven_Rage & LoneSlayer had in the map as best I can, changes will be made to them but the characters themselves will stay.

Yeah, I know he's quite strong now. I already am nerfing him but cutting down the damage on both spells. But he's also being revamped in few ways so we'll have to wait and see before I can make a correct judgment on him.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up, sure it matters how much space if I'm going to use it. If it takes up too much space I wont be able to use it though. Not saying it's bad just I'm on a border line.

I'll fix that in a bit, thanks for clearing it up again.

no problem the model is I remember correctly with skin is about 120kb the quality of it is pretty nice, about 2.1k poly (took two weeks to make) the skin is by dvo and animations by ice, they are pretty good anims in my opinion.

I'll see if we can use it then, can you send it to me? Any time is fine.

Some things we're doing for the next version, balance everyone out. Make everyone strong or too strong weaker and the weaker stronger so it evens out.
Fix every tooltip, hotkey, and spell IDs.

Finally make gameplay changes to make the game more fun for the players, as well as make it harder.

I decided to try this map as I haven't played any of these for almost a year now and I found it to be a relatively enjoyable experience. However, I ran into a few problems that were a bit frustrating. I'm not sure if these issues are already known.

1 - I was unable to pass the area just beyond the Singing Orc when using Goku. I never had this problem before and never had it on further attempts with Goku. I was in a hurry at the time, and I may have just missed a mob or something. I'm not sure if that causes the entrance to be blocked.

Megaman
- The upgrade in the beginning zone near Kamek could not be accessed by any characters I tried it with, except knuckles. Even Megaman could not reach it.
- His upgrade which provides 5 stats, magic immunity, and mana shield does not seem to provide the shield. The immunity works, but I could not find a method of turning on any mana shield. The item could not be selected and I did not receive a new skill with the item.

Knuckles
- Gained Super Knuckles as a skill when he hit 10--I believe it was 10--but it vanished permanently after using the skill once.
- Spin Attack would be cast instead of shadow punch when selected without a hotkey.

Those are the ones I remember at the moment.

The invisible wall problem is due to a bug, I only have experienced it few times, but now in the beta tests we've been doing it seems solved.

The Armor Parts of X aren't as truthful... the first one you see is actually the last one, gives more use to that forest later. The tooltips haven't been updated in a while so thats why in the next version we'll fix all of them.

The Knuckles problem is because I was trying to do something but it didn't work too well... the Shadow Punch & Spin Attack problem is because of the two spells using the same base, Easy fix.

For the megaman upgrade in the forest, can't a teleport item be used by megaman if some characters are able to access the zone freely?

I tried Luigi a bit today and found at least one problem, I'm once again not sure if this has been noticed before. It likely has as it is rather obvious, but I figure I might as well mention it.

His Thunder attack--I forget what it's called, but it is supposed to involve autocast--never seems to have any effect. It tries to cast, but it triggers the evade effect with a "miss" appearing over my character.

There isn't any true teleporting items, only a staff of teleportation type items, which only teleport to allies. Only X can activate it once he's gotten the Helmet, Chest, both buster upgrades, and the leg upgrade can he finally get that one.


The effect doesn't work for some reason, but it gives more damage. The miss thing I don't know about. Just the skill gives no special effect, I'll fix it sooner or later though.

Both Knuckles and Mario are able to move into the "blocked" upgrade area. Wouldn't it be possible for X to simply use the staff of teleport to move to an allied Mario/knuckles and gain the item early? Or do you mean that the upgrade cannot be triggered at all until the other upgrades are in his inventory?

The miss effect happens when the skill is selected and manually targeted on a foe. It acts like a ranged spell in that way.

It's almost impossible to get the Staff, it's a extremely rare drop, maybe once every 20 or so games it'll drop. X can't activate it unless he gets the Leg Upgrade either way.

No items teleports mass amount of units.

Knuckles and Mario don't gain the item early as well.


Few things in v1.8a unlike v1.7f.

Time limit in Final Fantasy, meaning you can't be separated and expect to win. If the timer runs out you get a Game Over and are defeated.

Characters like X and Zero have been nerfed in a few ways, such as Health Points. While others like Luigi and Mario are being buffed so they can stand up to the bosses more. Thats all I have at the moment I want to reveal.

Ah, I didn't realize the staff was a rare drop. I've only played through once and found it, which is why I thought it was more common.

Yeah, it's ok. The staff is a really good item if your lucky enough to get it.

Our list of typos and such is huge so it's still taking time to fix every single one plus all the new additions and bugs/unbalances that'll come with them.

Really? Sorry to burst your buble but, me and a few of my friends play this often, and around every 1-3 games I'll see it drop. Multiple times in one game, usually. Maybe your loot table's busted? I dunno.

Also, if you're gonna talk about nerfing heroes, try Sub Zero. That Polar Bear of his BEAST. He could have easily soloed the game with just his Polar Bear form.

Hardly, your just lucky... I haven't gotten the item once since I released this version or have seen it in any of the games I played, I play the map quite often as well.

Sub-Zero needs some nerfing? Fine thats easy, but he no way can solo the whole map, the later bosses begin to be extremely difficult alone. Heres a nerf on Sub-Zero for 1.8b, him losing ice ball, pretty much he has one spell until level 10, how would that work? Or I can double the mana cost and raise the cooldown on all his skills.

Alrighty. This map is great, all the other versions of it by various people had so many problems and such it just wasn't funny though, but you've been doing a great job! I really like all the work that's gone into the map. However there still are a few problems here and there that I found.

Firstly, when a friend and I were playing through the map, I was Sonic and he was Sub-Zero (god damn is Zero's bear crazy!). He originally wanted to play as Pikachu but every time we hit Kamek, the game would crash and we'd get the fatal error message. So he played as Sub-Zero and there were no problems then.

The second problem I had is with the Ride Armor, that's really fun to find and use and have your character controlling, but your hero should be able to get experience since their in the armor controlling it. That just makes sense doesn't it? If your armor happens to blow up and you've had it till late game, then your main hero is going to be like level 8 and no use to anyone unless some serious training is done.

The third thing is a pretty big problem though. With Sonic I was having a lot of fun playing as him, when perfect chaos appeared, I went off and used Super Sonic to kill him (although my Sub-Zero friend decided to use the Uppercut or w/e and just instantly kill him, that might need some nerfing, idk). I waited around Hyrule till Super Sonic ended and then after a little noticed I had Hyper Sonic. I loved the idea of that. So I tested it out by activating Hyper Sonic straight away, noticed I was invun, loved it, noticed I had Hyper Explosion too, looked bloody sweet! The skin didn't change to a Hyper Sonic skin so I imagine there just isn't one, anyway the timer ended...then I changed into a Super Sonic skin and had another timer (but I was still invun and had Hyper Explosion), that ended and then I was just normal Sonic once more, yeah yeah that's fine, till I noticed that Super/Hyper Sonic transformation button was gone completely. I killed myself to see if it would come back and it didn't. Annoyed, I figured if I used a Tome of Retraining I should at least be able to get Super Sonic back, so I used it, clicked all of Super Sonic, Charged Spin Attack, Continue?, and Sonic Wind, yet I didn't have even one point left to put into "Summersalt" (just while I'm at it, it's "Somersault") which just doesn't make sense considering everything was maxed out before.

Those are the major problems we had when playing, but apart from those (and some lighting problems I had playing, old monitor is not good during night time on Warcraft 3), it was a very enjoyable map.

1) Yeah the pikachu bug was depressing, for now I replaced the skills that crashed till we can tune them up.

2) I'll try to do that, we're almost done with 1.8b.

3) Fixed that, wasn't too hard to fix. Hyper Sonic is just a flashing Super Sonic, which I am trying to add into him. I'll fix that typo with Somersault.

Tell me where Sephiroth is, The com I'm using at home doesn't play it, because of no internet, and I have a little time to play it, in school.

Ok, after beating the first area, Sigma's Fortress. Go into the second portal, when you enter it you'll see a timer that'll go down (if it ends before you kill Sephiroth the game ends with your loss). Now you'll be following a very linear path in here, but after fight the Ultima Weapon, you'll enter a cave which will bring you to a new area of that level. Now you'll see a cave you can use to go back, another next to it with a Link item in it, a downward path which leads to Chaos 3 & Ruby Weapon. But that path is optional now continue on the other path and kill every unit you see. Now your in another room, with bunch of spawners, kill all of them and you'll reach Emerald Weapon and kill it. You'll see two caves, one cave which has a item shop the other being the last room before Sephiroth. When you enter the last room you'll see three Tonberries to greet you, kill alll of them.

Continue on the path till you reach the splitting paths one up one down. Down goes to Diamond Weapon. Up goes to Sephiroth's area. MAKE SURE YOU KILL ALL THE UNITS EXCLUDING TO DIAMOND TO ENTER SEPHIROTH'S ROOM. Now enter Sephiroth room, you'll see Jenova and Sephiroth. Kill them and you have finished the area, which is the longest area so besides the Deku Tree.

Now start Halo.

see... i got stuck, and some how, an invisible wall in the forest made my Link be stuck in there, so, What? If your using Pathing blockers, I think you are using too much, but hey, Try the bounderies texture.

And the Singing orc, Is that just be there?

Because Much of the party of 3 was going around and around and got lost in the Deku tree. I even didn't noticed that there where a ramp on the room with the shield thing, because it took me 20 minutes! (i didn't do sigma's yet) and the Gohma looks nerfed (lol)

And Pika got stuck at the Ultima weapon/Sephiroth cave

So he got stuck? Can you send me the replay though PMs it could have been a simple mistake of the player, but I want to make sure. I haven't seen this bug before either.

The only reason why I protected it was A) Reduce the map size and B) Keep people from pulling a Loap on the map and destroy it.

If you want to help the map you can go to the forum or Clan VRPG on U.S. EAST and talk about it there. I also really need help in making it at the point with HellKnightX and ES not being active in the last few months. Just matters how good your with triggers, which is my weak area for the most part.


There is another problem. I downloaded this map in an another Computer and It says its too big.

Thats strange, did you make sure you downloaded it from here? I haven't ever had this problem.

The Blight really hides alot of stuff....

Blight is supposed to represent the 'decay' from the portals. I want to have it look normal for the most part towards the start and towards the end the world is all dead and barren looking.

Pika fails to Climb up the "river" plus to get over to tone berry.

Never had this problem, please send me a replay so I figure it out.

Also it could have been caused by Static Aura (Which is currently removed in 1.8b betas). I'll test it today though to make sure.

Earthworm Jim yaaaa hilarious game and show.
Why protect the map? and shouldn't a editted map be unprotected unless original author asks to?

I agree Earthworm Jim is awesome.

The file size would be too big then, also I am all for open source maps and such, but some of the models and spells are made by my friends and unless you asked them to use them I wont be giving them away.

I already have LoneSlayer's approval and I hope he'll help working on it some time in the future. If you want me to bring the message up I'll be glad too.

Also if you've seen whats happened to DBZ Tribute and even this map as well many people will steal it just to say it's theirs. Which can cause confusion among players who don't know the difference. When the maps 100% finished then I don't care if it's open sourced but until then it'll stay protected.

played it online full house, 5 people left when we got to the end, then the bugs started, the portal part, should just be pathways to each guy, cause 1 boss followed me out, and then walked into another portal, when that happened i fallowed him in and then died, the portal than closed and 2 boss's were in the portal that closed so all portals were down, and only 1 left that stayed open, witch had no one inside cause he fallowed me out and walked into a new portal. (the one in the middle) so we were stuck and couldn't go anywhere so then egg man did his spawn move and we were able to kill the next boss cheating way, he died and we were lost so more people left, then we found him again and the Goran guy over tanked me as sonic, and knuckles, as we were the only ones left. killed him once came back and we were F^%$ed, so called it quits,

as for earthworm Jim, i say he is a rigged char, and should just be band or nerfted cause he is super tanked, and is over powering, at the start, the guy left half way throw so i didn't see how over powering he was.

Well sadly the way I envisioned it makes making it very hard.


Ok so nerfing Earthworm? Thats easy.

Ganon's meant to be very difficult since he is the end boss.

But yeah the whole ending part was just completely reworked so I didn't expect it to work 100% I'll get to fixing it in the next version though.


Any ideas?

right now have to think a bit on suggestions.

People say there is a problem with Goku, i used him online full house game crashed and locked computer, then try single player something happened. this was about 10-15 mins in or so i try out X and nothing happened game running fine,

Will have to wait for my brother and i to be at home at same time to see test a bit more, cause i have been having a bit of troubles with my computer had to take back video card cause it didn't work, so got a different one. will tell you if if it's my end or the game. just have to wait on my brother.

sorry for the double post. but how do you get to this capsule, cause the pathway is blocked.

Yes, the X capsule in the Mushroom Forest (Starting area) can only be gained after you get the other ones. The Helmet, Arm, Leg, Body, and Buster parts.

You need to bring the Sun Key to a extremely hot place, inside the Volcano in the Mario World.

v1.8c is going smoothly, if anyone can make a new minimap that just says VideoGame RPG v1.8. The size is 128x128, the reason why I'm asking this after I made the Earthworm Jim minimap icon, every time I try to make a new one it doesn't work.
