use image reference in 3dmax 6

I neeed use the image reference in 3dmax using viewport image in front left but cant be zoom the image when put the image. when use the zoom just the grid can zoom but not the image preload. Anyone know have can zoom the image like the zoom no pad or other option??

Make a textured quad and freeze it, instead of using a viewport image.
