As some of you who have tried editing this before may have discovered-
When editing the Upkeep tooltips, you run into this pesky percent showing up next to one of the tooltips.

Namely this one;
33mlhxk.png
As you can tell from the image, I've tried to hide it.

I got the color of the background from the color picker in paint,
but the transparency makes it so it's still visible.

What I want to know is if there's a way to completely hide it,
and if there is - how?

A lot of people have had this issue.

There isn't a way to completely remove it but there are some options:
  • Make it the same color as the background, as you did.
  • Change the tooltip background image to something else, such as Textures\Black32.blp. Then just make that field have black text. (or you can use a custom one and change the color to match the background)
  • Some people have tried editing war3mapskin.txt using an MPQ editor. Before you do this, be sure to make a backup. There are some instructions that you can see in rysnt's posts here:
    http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/world-editor-help-zone-98/remove-upkeep-text-191950/
    Also look at Tirlititi's post.
  • Ghan once said to change the text to "Awesomeness: 100%", or something similar. lol. If you want to be more formal you can write something redundant like "Map Loaded: 100%".

Hopefully one of these solutions work for you. :)

Ahh thank you. My best bet at this point is to just try and hide it with the colored text.

I don't want to use a war3mapskin.txt because it disables the interface changes I already have, which are very extensive.

I sure wish we could change the transparency of text. :p
Anywho, thanks again!
