Hello, so i basicly made quite simple trigger but yet it wont work for me for some reason, it's practicly ctrl+c ctrl+v of different one which is actually working. All here seems to work except the horse is just staying there and wont move, but i can't figure out why. Im helpless at this moment, so if somebody could take a look.

Doesn't matter.. turns out, the "WindMillPickUp1" Dont save the Target unit of Ability being cast, just don't understand why
what kind of ability is it? not every ability is targeted. Is it one where you point and click on a unit or is it one with an AOE range?

If your ability is based on something like blizzard or war stomp you will have to use a different selector to get the target.

You have 3 types of abilities, Abilities targeting a unit, abilities targeting a point and abilities targeting nothing. Only the first will actually save target unit of ability being cast

oh i didn't even notice that you used finishes casting, yeah i usually use begins casting aswell. there are some small differences between the 3 but i usually just stick to begins casting too, if it works nothing else matters i guess. gl

Don't always use Begins casting! 9 times out of 10 you want to use "Starts the effect of an ability".

Begins casting is used for cases where you want to be able to interrupt the ability before it executes. For example, if the ability had an alternate cost like Hit Points and you checked if the hero had enough to cast it. If unable, you order the Hero to stop and skip the rest of the Actions. Example aside, the main issue with this Event is that the player can interrupt their own hero using a "Stop" order and the Actions of the trigger will still execute.

Finishes casting is useful in certain situations but can fail to work if not used properly. If you're moving your unit around a lot and animation cancelling then it's very easy to completely bypass this Event.

Starts the effect of an ability will happen at the exact moment that the ability executes. This means when the abilities Cooldown/Mana cost are spent and whatever it's supposed to do happens (launches a missile, applies a buff, etc). This can't be exploited and is almost always the correct Event to use.
