Thanks for these! I think I may actually have the perfect usage for them (and have never thought to look into Hearthstone; quite a gold mine).

Question: how much of the audio lines from the pages you linked did you go through? It seems there's a huge number of lines; how did you decide which to use?
Thank you for your words! I, too, was surprised when I found all these lines in HS.

Usually I listen everything that is connected to the character. Of course, sometimes there's a lot of lines, but I'm trying to find what better fits to the character and to the structure of unit soundset in WC3. "What" should give an overall flavor of the character, "Pissed" could be joke lines or lore lines true to the character, etc. Ideally lines of the same type should have similar emotional coloration. And, of course, there's a limit for lines - I have no reason to make 10 yes lines, for example.

I think you do a great job of splitting them up between the different types.

I totally get that it's easy for me to suggest this ("you should do more work!" xD), but I don't think you should necessarily limit yourself like that. I don't see any reason why not to have 10+ "Yes" lines (aside from the work involved, of course); most of the time we have to import them onto an existing soundset & those have limited, variable numbers of 'slots', meaning we won't be able to use all the ones you provide anyway. There are some gems on there that are missing from the ones you chose.

Of course, the real answer is "just download & rename & import them yourself, Kyrbi0". 😅

Now obviously the one thing missing in all this is having true joke "Pissed" lines. A tragedy to be sure, but unavoidable; they just don't exist, and it's not like we're gonna hunt down these voice actors to give additional performances. I suppose an AI trained on the voice lines might be able to do it?... But anyway. These are still a wonderful resource even without them.

The thing is, I did the set for the witch, soothsayer - but not "Lazul". That's why lines about Rafaam, EVIL, Old Gods and cards weren't included.
The same way I did with troll priestess - everything that was connected with death, dark powers and Bwonsamdi was saved, but there are enough lines left for a separate soundset for Zandalari priestess of Rezan.
But I wonder what lines would you suggest to include in this pack.

I tried to work with ElevenLabs for a specific characters, and the difference between Ai lines and original lines is too obvious. Maybe we need a couple of years...

Another question; did you do any post-processing/editing of these? Or just download-rename-upload?

That's actually perfect; I'm sure a "Lazul" soundset might be useful to some, but a more generic "troll soothsayer/witch/prophetess/seer" soundset is useful to many more; it's precisely why this is so useful to me. ^_^ (and ostensibly, others)

(Now to be fair, some references to cards could be acceptable, or even ideal; after all, "tarot cards" are a classic trope in this space, same as palm reading, tea-leaves, crystal balls, etc. Fits a fortune-teller/prophetess/etc just fine)

But I wonder what lines would you suggest to include in this pack.

I think I was mostly just surprised; you pared dozens down to just 20, so it seemed like there had to be more. I'll have to go through it more carefully later, but off the top of my head the Death sound could be useful (don't know how, but a modeler could include it in a custom model to go with the custom soundset, right?)... and I heard a few that might make good 'joke' lines for additional Pissed's ("Did you have any questions for me? Because too bad!").

Dang. Not surprising, but too bad. I wonder, though; @frostwhisper has had some success with AI lines. I don't know if he made soundsets as well or not, but his Troll Campaign is voiced IIRC, largely by AI versions of the voices.

Mostly the lines are ready to use. Sometimes I put two lines together or cut one line into pieces. I also try to combine parts of different lines together when it suits my purpose, but results are far from perfect due to different tempo, breathing etc. But I'm just learning to work with sound programs and hope to overcome it.

I don't even think about custom death sound, but it's pretty good idea, actually! And regarding the line you suggested - it was in my list, ha-ha, it really suits well. I guess I'll add it to the resource when I'll have time to update it with FLAC files.

Oh nice, so you're doing some work on them too. Cool! What program do you use; Audacity?

Glad you liked it.

Speaking of, I took some time & compiled a list of all the sound bytes I think could possibly have use in a Wc3 setting (a couple with some edits, perhaps). It's a lot so I understand if it falls to me at some later date, but I figure why not. ^_^

Also, since it always bugs me the way the Hive presents sound bundles like this, I went ahead & transcribed all the quotes you chose (& the source if I had already downloaded it):

Ready: "Power stirs in the dark."
What1: "Care to hear your fortune?"
What2: "What must I do?"
What3: "Where will fate take us?"
What4: "No one can change their fate."
Yes1: "Just as I expected."
- VO_MadameLazul_Female_Troll_HM_ChooseBoss_01.wav
Yes2: "Let's cause some trouble, hmm?"
Yes3: "I knew you would say that."
Yes4: "That will be a story to tell."
YesAttack1: "Predictable!"
- VO_DAL_729_Female_Troll_Attack_01.wav
YesAttack2: "Your demise be near."
YesAttack3: "Your fate is sealed!"
YesAttack4: "Give in to the darkness."
Warcry: "By fate's fangs!"
Pissed1: "I see a Troll in your future! A Troll who sees the past."
Pissed2: "You and I both know some sooths are better left unsaid."
Pissed3: "Everything happens for a reason. Even if it's an odd one."
Pissed4: "Where do you envision yourself in five years? Oh wait, I already know."
- VO_MadameLazul_Female_Troll_HM_T2End_01.wav
Pissed5: "I'm afraid you are nothing I haven't seen before."
- VO_MadameLazul_Female_Troll_HM_Loss_01.wav
Pissed6: "Hmm. Find a hobby!"

(Sidenote: Some of these I have no idea where you got; I combed through all the files on all 4 of those pages & didn't find "find a hobby" nor "sooths better left unsaid". Where'd you snag those?)

Oh nice, so you're doing some work on them too. Cool! What program do you use; Audacity?
Exactly. It's pretty simple for a newbie like me.

Regarding the lines, there are more in HS Data, mostly from some singleplayer missions, but I'm not always able to find the corresponding page on Wiki. That's the case with those two lines you described.

Oh, and transcription is nice idea, I should do it!

First of all - great resource! Actually very useful for my own troll project as well. I've been using hearthstone as a source for voices quit a bit, but forgot about Lazul.
To put my two cents in regarding Elevenlabs. AI voices are still quite noticeably different when put next to genuine ones. My campaign voicepacks (based on Kazakus from hearthstone, Qhira and Zul'jin from HotS, Vol'jin from WoW, the DotA witchdoctor etc) were always real voicework sourced and post-processed in ~2020 when AI voicing just straight up didn't exist yet. The voice lines for quests and cut scenes are AI, based on those voicepacks and made in ~2022. Notably, they lacked the originals' accents. I don't know how far we've progressed since then, but for voices as specific as trolls I'd say stick to originals for now.

Which reminds me - I should get around to uploading my voicepacks now that the troll campaign is released.

Oh frick, Hearthstone Data? Like, extracted game files? How do I get into that? 😅
That's right. When I worked with soundfiles for Hakkar, I found out Wiki has no files for his bossfight. So I installed the game and started to plunder it.
The game uses .unity3d file type that can be opened with AssetStudioGUI. Try it, it's fun.
